Well that's that done........yayyy! Met with Matt46 at 11.15 when it was just starting to warm up and the roads were starting to dry. Nice run to Squires for a latte (or frothy coffee as they prefer to call it :tongue. Bit of a catch up with Matt cos we've not seen each other for a couple months. Then a brisk ride home When I got home I cleaned the bike, tightened all the bolts I could see and then I also checked my tyre pressures (as I should have done before I went to meet Matt as the front was 26psi and the rear was at 30psi ). Pumped up the tyres and looked longingly at Eva before I put her away till hopefully next weekend. Life is good.
Same here, had a run around chesterfield and on to Matlock Bath then Newhaven and back to Bakewell. I did pump the tyres up first though. Steve
I fired up the Mutly for the first time since October and went for a ride, definitely faster with the new carbon fibre bits on. Also taken of the splash guard and it does look better. Had the heated grips on at the start but it was too warm with the winter gloves, lovely day down here in the English Tropics.
Well I did the same today, had a nice blast round Northumberland, albeit still cold.........but there was a huge problem, Monster was much slower than I remember, so its....... A) Buy loads of carbon B) Get mesel on the bacon slicer C) Go on a diet and loose this freekin belly Looks like its the diet........bummer
Got up at seven to wash the bike, it was so mild I was just wearing a t shirt. After washing I gave her a good polish all over, made breakfast, washed up then went to Abergavenny for a mars bar and oasis, only one other duc seen a 848 corse, very nice it was. Was nice to see lots of other bikers stop and have a look at mine, home the long way and if the weather keeps up will be riding back and forth work.
Watched the weather till lunch then it was time to get out. Warmed her up and went on my way loving every second. Thought I would drop in to see the old man and get a cup of coffee. Had the coffee and put lid on to set back. Oh no!!! The alarm would not deactivate. Did the usual checks etc and still no joy. The old man had to bring me home. Just been reading the docs for the alarm and I could of deactivated from the bloody egnition by following the acumen steps!!!!!! I'm annoyed though cause it shouldn't happen. Oh well Troy stop bloody moaning and sort it. I'm sure the alarm has a three year warranty though
Hey, one good thing, least you getbthenchance to go and collect it and go for another ride again, just make sure you take the alarm steps with you.
Silver Ball near Royston for breakfast just after nine (it was fresh out there) and back home to warm up for a half hour or so then decided to go and have a coffee or two at High Beech and ended up talking to various people until mid afternoon before nipping round to see the boss for a while and then back home for a good wash down and hose off to get rid of the salt, only did about 90 miles but it was nice to get out again.
had a rather chilly ride up to salisbury, nice breakfast with the ukmoc, and then a nicely paced ride down to shaftesbury and back along dry roads, sunshine, and i even manged to get on with the new rear sets
Did about 280miles yesterday around Essex,Suffolk,Norfolk from London ,mainly on B roads, what an awesome day, only had enough energy to clean my bike today, still knackered and feel an early night coming on,but SO CONTENT,isn't it just the best feeling?
It used to be called foxes it's down past RAF benson some good roads and on the way back we stop at Ducati Aylesbury come along for the ride sometime
Ive been down to RAf Benson to do a trackday (never again), but my route is pretty much a quick thrash up the A40. The bit between Highh Wycombe and Oxford Services is pretty much empty all the time
Oh you got to come along the roads are nice twisty country roads and from me in Windsor it's about 100 mile round trip
I have managed to notch up another 200 miles since Friday; Friday out with mates to Weymouth then up the coast to West Bay, quality road and great to get out! Saturday same route but with the wife as pillion, again fantastic road and first ride out together on the MTS12! Sunday down to Poole Quay then Sandbanks with the wife, seen three other dukes, a nice Red 1098, a Yellow 749 and a Diavel, now I need my 600 mile service doing so no riding until I can get that sorted out! :frown: Gonna give the bike a good clean today!
