  5. A sensibly written article, and if true, which given he's a QC in EU law it's more than plausible it could be, then why aren't these points discussed at consumer facing level via news and media outlets?

Much of what he says needs to be acted upon, so is it that our government and the EU negotiations team know all of this, hence why it's being kept out of discussion and the only true focus is being put on the Ireland debate?

  6. The government, media and the remain campaign are acutely aware of what the guy is saying,as are a very large percentage of the public.
But the Brexit battle is nothing to do with sensibility or facts: it is all about ideology and self-interest,( the German lady in the earlier video was saying).
No one can possibly argue that, for example,an EU imposed tariff of 19% on oranges is a good thing for the UK consumer,so no remainer can ever allow oranges to enter the debate.
The price of oranges might not be an issue for the well-paid,but the poor might struggle...multiply the number of items with tariffs by thousands, some of which that the financially-challenged also have to buy,and for those with very limited resources there becomes a big problem.
The remain supporter cannot possibly argue that this is a good thing,so they ignore the fact and accuse the leave voter of being poorly educated.
Trying to actually have a reasonable debate with those who blind themselves to facts is like fighting a jelly..one can never get a straight answer to any question, but will get abuse and a good slagging.
For remainers, one has to hold the line of remain, regardless of how obvious the facts are to everyone else.
And for leavers,(who in my experience are generally aware of the POSSIBLE negatives that may come with Brexit, but having weighed up the possibilities have decided we are better off out),the remainer refusal to debate the facts is infuriating.
This single-minded and blinkered ideological "thinking",by a section of society extends to almost all other current hot topics.
Climate Change,Trump-hating,the EU...those who support the dogma MUST swallow the whole opinion, without question, and seek out ANY tiny thing that they can use for justification, while shielding themselves from everything that doesn't fit the narrative.
IF there is a swing to GENUINE conservative thinking,(the far-right description of anyone who doesn't swallow the remainer line is meaningless) in the political world, the blame can be laid squarely at the feet of those who refused to see that the majority were having problems that they themselves were not,and that remainers chose self-interest over the best future for all of us.
And although right now the ideologists have commandeered the best positions in politics, the judiciary and the media, they better not make themselves too comfortable.
The majority are not blinkered, they have been impoverished by the EU,they might not be able to speak latin but they can count their money, and they know what democracy means, and how a certain section of society is undermining it.

  7. Old news fin. You may remember on this brexit earlier they went to court and the decision upset you because the decision said, at the end of the day the U.K. government is the top dog in the U.K. and not a devolved parliament. I know you remember this.

This current attempt is little more than showboating, will only end up one way but hey, not much else going on for them so it might help with a few more domestic votes at the next election

  8. The Afd Member in Lightenings video clip said what many have been saying for ages. The eu commission is management company that is employed by the 28 countries but somehow over the years, the management company is now telling the 28 countries what to do even though the 28 are the last stop.

Her point was that a europe of 28 nations can work, a europe of one body overuling the 28 cannot expect to last

  12. different case.
so, if the case is heard before the final vote on the deal is taken and won, Westminster, if they had the balls, could overturn the brexit decision?
    hmm.
