your mistaken, after my lengths I do a few high dives, just to warm down. That is my dive pool. they say some of my better dives are 'Daley-esque'. The pike, tripe salco and John smiths bomb! arther Daley -esque......
It was there, parked with the others, big black and bronze thingy; monster, yellow SS, new monster, Dementors Corse, 748 and 1198SP. May have been lost in the bakground ;-)
Apologies, was in a rush for call of nature (age & cold:biggrin: ) said a quick hello to Giles
The doorbell went ... I got up to answer the door ... I don't have a doorbell . Now jumping in the bath I hope my bloody doorbell doesn't ring again I'm going senile
Stripped my Monster's rear suspension this morning to grease the pivots as it was creaking a little(lower shock mount was the problem). Then I met a couple of friends up at Whiteways early afternoon. It was very busy there! You can spot my Monster Dark, its 3rd bike in, on the right. Had a ride out after with them, VFR750 and CBR600RR, along some local country roads before heading back to help my dad work on his car and doing a few things to my Fazer.
They seem to be calming down on their presence i think. Many years ago when wheelies past the entrance and knee-downs on the roundabout were going on every 5 mins they cracked down on it hard due to some bad accidents. The last 25 or so times i've been i've only seen one marked policebike there, fair play to him, he wasn't at all interested in the dark visors or noisy exhausts etc, i think he was more looking out for idiot riders and poorly geared up riders(shorts, t-shirt etc). But their unmarked bikes do hovver around the roads leading to Whiteways on occasions.
Gotten back in to my swimming post x-mas but i'm not getting any consistency at the moment, My last 5 swims have been all over the place. Done a 74, 96, 86, 94 then tonight 84
View attachment 11659 beautiful down here sunday, had a ride down the barbican in plymouth, yapped about bikes, stopped at kit hill on way home, curry for tea, perfect
Just avoided my car being written off by 2cms I was driving along when suddenly I clocked a car pulling straight out of a parking space quickly directly infront of me . The woman was looking at the pavement behind her ?????? Head nowhere near where she was sposed to be looking . I slammed on my brakes. She looked at me and get this laughed as if it was funny ... 1. It would have hit my son 2. My car would have been written off as old. I won't repeat what I said .. I was fuming. Not even sorry. Get this she then pulled straight out onto another oncoming car who had to emergency stop. Another gormless woman dropping kid off!! Yes I'm one of them too but I indicate, I look in the direction I'm going. Stuff sisterhood .. There seems to be this breed of them in abundance at the mo.. Like the one on the mobile with kids in back who ploughed into the back of my car and turned out to be uninsured
and if you where on your bike and that happened hellcat, you would have got seriously injured, glad you where alert!
Received the Reg no. for my Pikes Peak due to be collected on the 1st of March  Fingers crossed for good weather !
@ Kev I'd have been on her bonnet It's the attitude of "opps silly me " that gets me ... Not sorry ... And gormless grin that goes with it . ie the sort if your on a bike in full dayglow theyd be the sort that would say " didn't see you".
I'm not sure about that!Attachment 11480 your mistaken, after my lengths I do a few high dives, just to warm down. That is my dive pool. they say some of my better dives are 'Daley-esque'. The pike, tripe salco and John smiths bomb! arther Daley -esque...... Just one tip .... Loose the white speedos
After riding a bike for years, and expecting everyone to kill me, thankfully incidents like this get less and less evem in the car. A near miss is often my choice; ie let someone know I'm not happy rather than not anticipating. Do over 40k miles a year shows you a lot about peoples driving, or lack of, skills and observation
