Deserves a ride IMHO. #DucatiTeam wish to confirm that #AlvaroBautista will step in as replacement rider for #JorgeLorenzo in next weekend's #AustralianGP. Welcome on board Álvaro! #ForzaDucati
Great you know he’ll try really hard. Although maybe giving miller the bike would have been a better idea
Stoner is actually a great example of what you need as a test rider: someone who is 9/10 of the best race pace when testing stuff.
He was obviously dominant at P.I. for years. Although he wouldn't win next week, it would be intersting to watch and put thousands on the gate and TV figures.
You have to Wonder, if Dovi needing a win next week won him the title, whether they would have added some pressure on stoner to ride and try and be a spoiler.
I think we'll never see Stoner again, but now the championship is over, a last play at the Australian G.P. must have been tempting had he been offered it.
Apparently Stoner tops the time sheets at all tests so hes 11/10 ths. Not using his feedback when hes doing this is whats upsetting him. TB
I think it is. I believe he was quickest in Malaysia (when everyone was there) and the Development guy at World Ducati Week also mentioned Stoner tops the times. Certainly no one from Ducati touches him when testing. The fact hes not happy that they're not using his feedback when he's putting in blistering times must be true it comes straight from the BT MotoGP commentary mouth (as a rumour, that's why he's linked to Honda for testing) TB
Stoner hasn't ridden a bike since the start of the year due to his shoulder op. IF Ducati are ignoring his advice, it seems the bike is plenty quick enough anyway.
