  4. Yeah, they are a real thumper. :) :upyeah:

    They have achieved classic status now, hence the prices. Do you not fancy a nice 250? I've had a load of them in the past. :) And a couple of broken collar bones to prove it. :(

    I had a Maico 490 back in the day. What a beast it was. But I fear nostalgia is clouding my memory and the reality now would be different. Never meet your heros, as they say. Anyway.......£7k :eek:

  5. I have an 03 CR250 and I do use it, the crf450 is the regular bike. But I love the 2 strokes. Seen that maico, true classic and yes, demanding good money. That one is a lovely bike. Many still raced at classic events and they are quick.

    But 7k now, look after it, might be worth 8k in several years. They don’t lose value.

    So your an old scrambler dude, fair play to you.
