If you haven't sussed forum 'Groups' yet check out: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/groups/ ......anyone can start a 'Group' ;-) I've started a group for MTS1200 owners in and around my region: MTS1200 South, SE, SW & S/Wales owners see here: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/groups/mts1200-south-se-sw-s-wales-owners.htm ....to arrange meets and rideouts and/or discuss local biking events ;-) **TIP** View attachment 1926 ....Click, 'Group Tools' and select 'Subscribe to This Group' to get notification of new posts ;-)
Well Spring is as good as upon us, so we'll have to get cracking organising soon........I'm still 'laid up' but hope to be back in the saddle by the beginning of April. In addition to the Popham Airfield meet I've been talking to another guy about a South Wales (Brecons) run. Keep an eye on the MTS1200 Owners: South / SE / SW Group page. South, SE and SW owners remember to hit the Join button;-) .......and of course feel free everyone to post details of any rides, rideouts or meets yourselves ;-)
I think Andy is referring to me for the Wales trip ! Who would be up for a mass Multi mission/invasion into the Valleys once the weather improves a bit and Andy can ride again I had a great trip there last year. PP
Didn't want to name you Paul and drop you in it in case you had changed your mind .......I'm dead keen, great roads and scenery!
Unless I'm already booked, I'm up for a trip to the valleys, I ought to be back in my saddle next week and I've already scheduled my European tours for the year. (Germany and the Baltic 25/04/2012 to 06/05/2012, Catalunya 30/05/2012 to 06/06/2012 and Brno and the Balkans 23/08/2012 to 09/09/2012)
Sounds great Robin.......travelog and photos please (again!) Multi rider - Join the group: http://ducatiforum.co.uk/groups/mts1200-owners-south-se-sw.htm ...and you'll get a notification of any posts i.e. when anyone posts up about meets or rideouts. Last year I arranged a couple of meets at Popham Airfield which went well..........particularly good destination for me as it's a nice 180m round trip with some great cross country roads, a nice cafe and often bikes (other 'clubs' meets there) and/or interesting aircraft to nose around. For those that live closer no reason why there couldn't be a rideout for 'locals' as well. I'll do the same again at least a couple of times this year....hoping for first in early April but too soon for me to be sure I'll be able to ride. Paul has already said he'll be arranging a South Wales (Brecons rideout) and there's nothing to stop anyone setting up or polling for interest in any meet/rideout they'd like to organise..........could even use for "anyone up for a ride this weekend" type posts ;-)
Andy I'm definitely up for Popham....it's about 100....140mile round trip for me.....on the m25, m3....with food bikes and planes....what more does a bloke need....:biggrin:..... May I suggest weekend 28th April or later...all booked up till then and really would like to meet some of the members here.
28th April is one weekend I won't be able to make it.......I'll be hooning round Devon on the bi-annual SV1000 owners SW rideout Popham is one of my faves so I'll organise at least a couple of meets this year and there's nothing to stop anyone else organising something any time ;-)
As I cleverly concealed in my earlier post I can make the 13th, 20th or 27th of May. Maybe the 21st of April, or any of the corresponding Sundays.
Still not riding....bit of a set back pain wise :-( Anyone else.........feel free to jump in and get a meet and/or rideout off the ground. **TIP** Click, 'Group Tools' and select 'Subscribe to This Group' to get notification of new posts ;-)
Aw no man Andy...sorry to hear you still in pain....hope it fades away soon....best of luck and recovery)
Thanks........bit fed up, feeling worse off than I was a couple of weeks back and frustrated that it looks like I just missed summer lol Apparently patience is a virtue lol...I'll get there in the end (emailed you the other day by the way;-)
Looks like all the 'Groups' set up were a victim of the recent forum 'crash' - I'll leave it a day or two just on the off chance that Rob can restore them and then I'll reset this group up again if not.
OK....the Group is set up again....everyone will have to 'join' the group again (see tip below once you've joined;-) Although the group is titled "Mts1200 owners......" ALL Mutley owners welcome
There are lots regional groups too, like South Wales for example which don't restrict themselves to what u ride. Anyone's welcome.
....just to be clear, there's no restrictions that apply to the Group I've set up.........just a target audience.....good to get the owners of the same model bike together sometimes You're welcome along any time Steve
