Seems I may be buying a bike from a dealer who will be fitting me new tyres. Whilst they was doing this work I was thinking smarter sprockets (renthal) and nice new gold chain but am open to thoughts about any ratio changes etc? Any suggestions/thoughts appreciated Thx
The OE rear sprocket is already the biggest you can buy off the shelf. I dropped the front sprocket by one tooth (no mod to chain length required) on my girlfriend’s ‘12 base and it made just enough of a difference to where 30/35mph sat in the rev band not to want to mess with it any more. It was suggested at the time that dropping two teeth on the front made the bend radius too tight and meant a shorter chain. Andy
does going down one on the front sprocket change the speedo accuracy? Not sure how or where the Diavel picks up the road speed
Simple answer is no, the front and rear sensors for speed, traction and ABS are mounted on the front forks and I believe, rear swing arm. Andy
