British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. The Singapore government tends to be less anal than the Chinese government plus Dyson already has a hoover plant there so is fully aware of the local way of doing things and an already established open communications with the Singapore government.

If you ask the question, why do they not build it in their home country, you could ask the same of Honda, Nissan, Toyota, Mini, Rolls Royce and Bentley. None are owned by U.K. companies but build from the U.K.

  2. You got an answer for that too

  3. Having some (actually..a lot of) personal experience of building and operating UK Company's manufacturing facilities in PRC. (for the PRC market), and doing business in Singapore, I can fully understand why he chose Singapore. You would too, if you'd tried both.

  5. Suspect he said a already in Singapore.

  6. Your second post acknowledges you had clearly read about a factory in Singapore with no mention of a factory in China. I can't help your selective limited scope

Shadow, I misjudged you... You're not a moron. You're only a case of arrested development.

  7. One of the (if not the) biggest problems for a technology leading manufacturer producing finished products (or tech. sensitive components) in PRC, is Intellectual Property theft. It's widespread. Why would anyone choose to manufacture their sector leading/technologically advanced (vs their competition) products in a place where 'Copy & Compete' is a way of life, and not sufficiently discouraged (sometimes actively encouraged) by the authorities in that country?

  10. At the risk of getting embroiled in this farrago why would the UK's position be weakened post-brexit?

  11. Knowing you do this with many articles duke, is there any chance you can link the actual article where that is from rather than just two paragraphs for your purpose? This would allow date, source of the article and the full article with all it's context.

At the moment you have an unamed or/and unsupported two paragraphs claiming to be from the university of sydney and if I may describe it bluntly, is hardly fecking rocket science. It is stating that countries WANT to do deals with the U.K. something you have tried to imply all along they would not, but also they will try and get a good deal for themselves, whoop de doo, as we will when we deal with them.

There is no weakened position, we still have the same cash to spend whoever we deal with, if the eu wants to be funny with that, then they will leave their traditional market open to others to come and steal their business and might never get that market back.

  13. Fook me, you answered a question. It's a load on nonsense, but at least you gave it a go.

You seem to be under the impression that everyone will approach negotiations with the UK in the same manner as the EU. The EU is desperate to protect the status quo and needs to show other dissenting nations that leaving the Troika is impossible. Had we stuck two fingers up at them earlier, they would have been put back in their box quite quickly. Unfortunately TM has built a career out of being a blancmange and 2nd only to Neville Chamberlain in the list of appeasers-in-chiefs.

What will happen with negotiations around the world post Brexit, is that because the 2 parties are looking for a win/win, negotiations will be far from what you have seen over the past 2 1/2 years. What is it you think the UK is going to be held to ransom over exactly?

You may lie awake at night dreaming of your move to France, stroking yourself silly, thinking of how all these nations are going to screw the UK to the floor boards during trade negs. You will be very disappointed.

  14. For some time, I wondered where millennial's had come from. They didn't appear over night, their low esteem, self hating confusional ,if I can't have it my way then it's because others are sexist, racist, xenophobe, misogynist, white privileged and non educated little Englander's.

After nearly 300 pages on Brexit, it's clear to me where many of these millennial's came from. Some throughout this whole thread have shown an intense dislike of country, an obsession with doom and gloom, an obsession with removing an individuals democratic vote and voice, to be replaced by an unelected dictorial technocrat way of life. An obsession for someone else to take care of them no matter what there age or ability.

Even during the process when the mask has slipped and the real eu's face has shown where they are seeking to punish the U.K. for allowing people the right to a democratic vote, they would rather say, see, you get what you deserve rather than, why is the eu so obsessed with denying its people a democratic voice?

You cannot have a voice against the government of the day in the eu world you fawn over, they do not allow it and even now as many countries stand upto the eu, the extreme remainers are still doing the three unwise monkeys.

The project as it was created was a need but what you have today see's even merkel walking out and you still can't see the eu project crumbling. The U.K. can see what is coming, understood it's enviable position of being on an island but also it's place in the world. If being a european means becoming a clone to a european dictat then no thank you. We are a world country, held in high esteem by others if not by some of our own.

    that was classic noob.
create a shitstorm, quite often using reworded bollox (well written, mind) from the most extreme of sources, throw in a few insults along the way, create a rammy, sit back and watch the show. wash, rinse, repeat.
the media and politics is full of noobs. creating the v,atmosphere he bitches about.
i will be very surprised that, if he aint in the gutter press already, he is making this forum his CV.
