Hi! I have managed to pick up a 54/57 titanium termi end can, and am now hunting for the rest of the system. I originally thought the can was a slip on...oops! Though I may have scored as I didn't pay much and the guy selling didn't know it was titanium! So I have found a unused 54 system without end can, but it is for a deep sump grey swingarm 2003...my question is can I make it fit the BLACK swingarm deep sump 2006 model. I don't mind a bit of brute force and heat, but I want it to look neat at the end, plus the system is kinda expensive..so I need to know this will work... Any pointers appreciated! Thanks Grant
It won't with without serious modification, the grey swingarm pipes have a completely different shape around the swingarm.
Could I give this a bump. @jusutus @Exige By serious modification...do you mean I could with heat and a hammer or are we talking re-fabrication and welding? Thanks for any input. Grant
I've seen the wrong pipes fitted before somewhere on-line - some say they won't fit, some have fitted. I guess you need to try, leave everything loose, tweak it as much as you can away from any touch points then tighten, then get the hammer out . I have no direct experience of trying this however
