All subjective of course but I have never liked Pirelli tyres on bikes. Just taken a set off my monster 1200 and replaced with Bridgestone. Loads better. Could be all in my head but they give me much more confidence. I'll confirm the exact tyre tomorrow when at home.
That's a bit like asking if chips are the best way to cook potatoes. Have a set of Rosso 3 on my 996 and like them.
Road 5's on my Mut. Do everything very, very well, obviously very well in the wet. I ride my Mut like I stole it and they've been brilliant. Nearly 5k on them now and still loads of tread. I'm genuinely impressed as I used to hate Michelin's
I liked Michelin Pilot Road 3 on my M1100evo, but it depends on what sort of riding you do. I found the OEM Pirellis had very little grip below 10 degrees C or in the wet, so not ideal for all year use in the U.K. The Michelin PR3 was much better and was good for all the long distance all weather riding that I did on the M1100evo.
