1200 DVT Cheapest Mod

  1. Well I can honestly say that the cheapest mod I've added to the bike is giving me the most pleasure a 14 Tòoth front sprocket, the new slow speed drivability is awesome and the torque is never ending. Oh and hello to 6th gear .

  2. Did you have to open the chain to get it on?

  3. No just slacked the chain right off moved clutch slave cylinder out of the way and away you go

  4. I went 2 up on the rear as well.

It's possibly a little too frantic, but by jiminy it's fun!

  5. I agree. Have done this is several ducs and am very satisfied. Don't see any difference in chain life. Am changing mine now at 20k miles.

  6. I had a smaller front socket fitted recently and, although it has made riding marginally easier (less feathering of clutch) at slow speeds, the main difference for me has been that I now routinely use 6th gear!

  7. Where did you source sprocket from. I like the idea.

  8. I got mine from Bike torque racing in Frome Somerset as they are local to me.
