So what have you done today..?

  1. After a disastrous Wednesday resulting in being bed bound yesterday, I joined Carole this evening for a chinese takeaway and a few chilled Nastro Azzuros. Definitely the way to banish a few blues :) Andy

  2. AA3A8CDA-08E6-47E9-AE52-9424D1EA56D8.jpeg FINALLY.... completed The Times (Irish - I know I leave myself open to jokes by qualifying it thus) cryptic crossword this afternoon. It’s taken the best part of a year to get there!

  10. :upyeah::) In my own defence m’lud, I didn’t mean it had taken me a year to do that particular one, but I can see how it might be interpreted that way hence I left it as such to incite some fun-poking :p. I actually meant I started doing them a year ago.

That’s not to say I’ll be successful every day from now on as the fecking things are so obfuscating! :upyeah:

  11. Well done.
I started doing cryptic crosswords about 20 years ago ( the today newspaper) and now do the telegraph one ( a friend emails me the crossword I don’t buy the paper though) very rarely finish it though o_O

  14. You should have ridden the road up the middle from Chepstow to Coleford, probably the better option IMHO. The Tintern road back is OK but tends to be stuffed up with traffic through the wiggly bit each time I try it.

    Bet the colours were good.

  15. Confirmed and booked first tour for next year last night, 10 days to, in and back from the Dolomites :)

  16. Did the route clockwise and so went North on the Tintern road. It was virtually empty (time of year, I guess) and therefore lots of fun!. Chepstow to Coleford road is the one that goes through St Briavels is a good road but I would say that our route was as good.

Fantastic time to be in the Forest as the colours are great. Just have to watch the road surface a bit with soggy leaves.

Just been out for a couple of hours and now the bike has been washed and put away!

  18. It does get my goat with all the shit Christmas ads (which I know for a fact are filmed in Summer) with the fake snow and woolly hats trying to disguise the fact that the actors are sweating their arses off. If you are a soft southerner then it never snows at Christmas. Quite often, it is a brilliant riding day with empty roads.

If it wasn't for the fact that I have a family do in Wiltshire to go to, then the Forest of Dean would be the place!
