Me and the wife just watched The Ballad of Buster Scruggs on Netflix. very different to what we expected
I stopped watching it at the stabbing incident I find it too depressing to watch anymore and very aggressive in places
Agree I could sort through the depressing stuff but it’s just too violent and aggressive for soap viewing it’s off my list
An interesting new series from one half of the Mighty Boosh writers, Jullian Barratt. Sally4Ever. Very dark and very compulsive watching.
I often wonder, with programmes like Eastenders, is that art imitating life or does life end up imitating art? Are the script writers actually portraying real life? Or, do people watch it and think it's ok to be like that because it's on the telly and therefore must be based on real life and everyone else is obviously like that therefore my actions are normal?
Haven’t had to suffer through soaps for a few years now, but from what I’ve seen in the past it’s nothing like real life. There’s too many of them, telly is flooded with soaps and ‘celebrity’ crap. Very little seems to be just for entertainment now
They wonder why stabbing shooting murders and rape are seen as okay when most of the popular programmes are filled with it. No soaps anymore. This morning I am fluctuating between watching the inside of my eye lids and various novelties around me
There intention is to make it normal I think No one must be happy none of the couples stay together they cheat/lie/fight How about they show that some couples do stay together and happily so Annoys me
