What he's saying makes sense basically tell the EU bollocks were off and were not paying any divorce bill Main land Europe has cost the UK enough in the shape of 2 world wars Fuck off Brussels
I believe she also withdrew her letter of no confidence after someone pointed out she’s not a Tory So in her mind, that’s eleventy 3 things she discriminated against for...
So I checked. Canada already has similar regulations re labelling as the EU although they won’t be fully aligned until 2021. However, if any Canadian food producer wants to sell their goods in the EU they have to comply with the EU’s rules on labelling (reg 1169/2011).
Agreed, however I can't find where it insists that Quebec as part of Canada, label differently. Going back the NI being asked to identify its trade as GB NI rather than simply GB, has it in my mind, their intent IS to enforce the backstop and if not to lock the the U.K. into the customs union, then certainly to split the U.K. It still hasn't explained why the backstop is needed given the entire administrative might of the eu hasn't been able to find a way to resolve the border issue in two years, and no one is answering, what do you expect to find in the next 2 years you haven't over the past two years. Nothing in this agreement declares itself to the vote of being a clean break from the eu to them be treated as a independent third country, everything implies it will be a franchise of the eu still
The backstop is a red herring. It has been manufactured by the EU and supported by the UK Remain political elite to supply cover for the UK remaining in the EU - either in a perpetual "temporary arrangement" or as lever to force the UK to re-join the EU fully. This whole mess has been orchestrated most carefully and represents collusion between the EU and the Remainer UK elites. This much is becoming clear. This is post-democracy in action, folks.
But, even with my geography knowledge, I know that Quebec isn’t an island territory as part of Canada that is attached to another country with a border
We need some anarchy on the streets. That’s what we need. Up to now, it’s been remoaners screaming ‘in justice’ While igknoring democracy became it doesn’t suit them. Leavers need to rise up, take to the streets, drive the foot to change its stance. Oh no hold on. If they do that, the police will heavily sanction them (with orders from the elite above) as they’ll be tagged right wing activists and racists. Silly me, forgot that.
is Canada not a federal state? in which case it almost certainly does have power over geographical locators and labeling, it deffo has power over immigration. i wonder how much of its economy depends on its brand and immigration?. i bet its central gov would recognize it if it did. mostly to avoid people feeling the need to take it to the streets. Canadians always seem quite keen to remind you that the aren't American. odd.
Yes but Australia is in the arse end of beyond. She might do well to remember that she is descended from immigrants and that English is not the natural language in Australia and it is NOT her land .........and that God and Christianity is a made up belief, just as Islam is. Still if anyone is stupid enough to believe that nonsense then they must be pretty thick.
On Friday Michel Barnier told a meeting of EU27 ambassadors the EU has a “duty” to stand firm on its key Brexit red lines and not compromise on the draft Withdrawal Agreement. However, what seems to have escaped M. Barnier’s attention – and that is the most generous way of putting it – is that some of those red lines are serious breaches of international human rights conventions and could even lead to an investigation by the UN Human Rights Committee. Article 1 All peoples have the right of self-determination. By virtue of that right they freely determine their political status and freely pursue their economic, social and cultural development. All peoples may, for their own ends, freely dispose of their natural wealth and resources without prejudice to any obligations arising out of international economic co-operation, based upon the principle of mutual benefit, and international law. In no case may a people be deprived of its own means of subsistence. The States Parties to the present Covenant, including those having responsibility for the administration of Non-Self-Governing and Trust Territories, shall promote the realization of the right of self-determination, and shall respect that right, in conformity with the provisions of the Charter of the United Nations. There are parallels between the US - and Canadian dynamic and the folks North and South of The Wall here in the UK. The US is slightly disparaging of Canada but mostly love and respect their Northern neighbours. Canadians are somewhat jealous and resentful of their Southern neighbours - possibly the result of an inferiority complex on the part of the Canucks. If you hear a North American accent you cannot place, ask if they are Canadian. If they are American, you will be politely corrected. If you ask them if they are American and they are Canadian, they may get stabby. Like I said, the parallels with the situation with the Wildlings and those folk South of the Wall are striking.
Had a brexiteer said that, you would have been in full flow sexist, mysogynist, homophobe, racist, islamaphobe mode, weird how you flip flop
they usually follow up by apologizing for them, that must takes some humility and self awareness considering they aint even the same country no?. yip, the parallels are striking.
Nearly forgot. You should have a bit of a go at listening to Canadians, who are not Trudeau, talk about the current Canada. Just an idea.
