I’m needing to access the battery, does the side panel come off without touching the black air duct thingy above? I’ve watched a few vids, I’ve seen some which have these removed before the side panels are touched and another vid showed the removal without touching it, but that video was a bit vague and it was hard to see so I’m still none the wiser.
One of the tabs at the back of that cover hooks the top of the panel, but it will come off if you do it right. The buggers are the hidden fixing in the radiator surround and the one at the inside of the panel near the footpeg.
The one near the footpeg? Might have missed that one, I seen the two on the inside by the radiator, one at the top and one lower down.
You can access the battery by just removing the little battery cover if you just need to stick a charger on
There's a connector under the passenger seat that you can buy an ctek adapter for which saves this faff.
I know, I looked online and the only adaptor I could see was from the states. So what I’ve done versus spending money was the better option.
