  11. Always like to save a few quid if I can, not tight, just careful ;)
A now ex-friend of mine (bar-stard) has just taken way to much pleasure in telling me halfords would have done it for £3. I find that hard to believe seeing as they flatly refused to change a near side headlight bulb on a Focus because it needed more than just a skinny arm and fingers to get to the bulb.

  12. Having not been home for a few weeks I got in to a load of mail... one of it? Was a delivery note telling me I had to pay customs for something... turns out it was 25 US dollars worth of deuz fasteners ( including postage ) .
For this I had to pay £13... what a fucked up country...

  13. Huge step forward today for me and a real boost to my confidence. I drove my car for the first time in nearly 4 weeks. It might have only been 9 miles each way to the local Costco and I won’t be doing long journeys for a few weeks yet but I got out of the house under my own steam. Still uncomfortable even with the pain killers but not that intense pain for the last few weeks after the surgery. Andy

  18. Feeling brave after my success this morning, I took Carole to the cinema tonight to see Bohemian Rhapsody. On the down side, 2 and a bit hours sat in a cinema seat however big and comfy wasn’t a good idea but I’ll live. On the up side, what a great, great film. I know it divided the film critics but having lived through the Freddie Mercury and Queen years, it brought back memories especially of the first Live Aid concert and we really enjoyed it. Popped in to Wagamamas on the way back to the car and had duck gyozas and chilli squid as a carry out, yum yum. Andy

  19. IMG_1059.JPG Been trying to shoot some of the Mynahs that infest our place, killing off our native birds and just being raucous pricks in general. Problem is, they are smart, they will stand there brazenly until you get a gun and then they piss off quick smart! So I downloaded a mynah distress tape that brings them in like a decoy. Next problem was our fat ginger cat going up to investigate, scaring off any targetted species.
End result? Mynahs, 1. Great white hunter, 0
Will try later. I just hide my ipad in the rocks beside the greenhouse and wait, in theory!
