Havent been on here much lately....currently working 10 - 12 hour days during the day, and, on and off in the evenings and weekends been working over my mother in laws trying to finish the hallway stairs and landing (full renovation, ceilings down, floors up re-wiring, network etc etc). Just finished the renovating part of my work (sitting down now with a cuppa) after fitting radiators, screwing down floors, putting faceplates on etc etc. Work is going to be full on til xmas and beyond but, at least ive got my evenings and weekends back... yey me.
I will forget on the day so happy birthday to Terry, Paul and Noobie . Managed 50.48* miles on bicycle, Only got wet briefly once. *got summoned home
Cheers. The thing is i find is you spend ages doing something and it looks like "you havent done much"....ie this morning, we (and i say we i needed my brother in law as the rad was as heavy as an anvil and bigger so we had to drain the system down and adjust the pipework....3 hours in the end just to get a radiator on the wall...yesterday was 4 hours just doing network cabling, putting sockets on etc etc....anyway...glad im done. We had a conversation on holiday 6 months back and i committed then to getting it done as shes been wanting to have it all sorted out so ive made good by my promise.
I took the missus to dinner at a fancy restaurant in Cleckhuddersfax last night . As the food was served, I said, "This looks delicious love, let's eat." The Missus said - "Ron, you always say a prayer before eating at home?" "That's at home Vera ... here the chef knows how to cook"
Had a lovely 130 mile ride with buddies this morning and got home in time to see my team shit on Spurs. All in all a great day!!
I’ve been recovering from having sons, daughter in laws, and grandchildren coming/visiting/staying. My snooze this afternoon was special and golden
Recovering myself from being an over enthusiastic football supporter and downing too much brown booze yesterday. Sofa time never felt so good.
rapidly amassing various bolts and clips from taking the 1199 apart lol. Still not got the engine out. Pub time
Just spent a wonderful evening with Carole who prepared a lovely, tasty home cooked bbq chicken with oven roasted sweet potato chips. We enjoyed a few large bottles of Estrella with the chicken and then opened a bottle of crusted Port to have with the cheese and mince pies. Not sure I’m going to feel particularly lively first thing but the Port was delicious and sadly there is none left. Enjoy yourselves people, life is too short not to. Andy
It’s a bugger ennit! But I bet they hadn’t been drinking a bottle of red whilst doing it lol Reckons I was seeing double
