you can get a 749R
you can get some super stock parts for the engine and like

 

999RS parts then...

 

Not necessarily...

you can get a 999RS exhaust, subframe and underseat bracket that works together..

on a 749R with the engine upgrades and a bigger exhaust they used a wrap around strap that worked with the std subframe...

but no 749RS..

 

I have a Corse gas cap off the 749R Kit package.

 

Ducati Coventry has one for sale.

i think you'll find it all started with Jerry... and there was no such thing as a 749RS back then..

 

I've the Chef's (Chris) 749r and that has a dyno sheet with +140bhp at the rear wheel.... the great unwashed scoff at that.
Given the state of tuning on that engine I didn't think it was possible to get more?

the factory claims "only" 140 at the crank.
