  1. Is that it over then?

  2. Worst ever debut of a new ducati in WSB springs to mind!

  3. I have my RSV4 APRC for sale if anyone wants to make me an offer? It does win at WSB! LOL

Gavin, 998GSB can testify, that they are both fast and lovely bikes to ride and not so difficult to set up to handle. :)

  5. Not likely LOL

  6. It's not the winning, it's the taking part...

  8. Tell a motorcycle racer that!!

  9. Thought so LOL

  10. Erm...difficult to say worst ever when you think what happened

  11. why so gloomy? did anyone anticipate the superpole? i didn't and that wast pritty reassuring. from the comments of Alstare, it seems to be more a problem of solving a lack of top speed due to the restricors than overall handling problems. in gp it's the other way round. a engine like a bulllet but no handling... so to say it's the same problem seems a bit off, no? Checa also did not get off the start well. he jumped and wheelied losing 3 places... he lost the places after long straights.

if you see the lack of testing done over the last weeks, a much better result than hoped for...

  12. Few facts
Bata saved a new quali rear tyre for sp3 to get it up the grid.
All the rest got the perfect race setup.

Some of us see past the ducati PR bullshit about the pani.

Checa slated it until the germans got stuck in and gagged him

  13. sometimes its like you're there, on the pit wall listening in

Checa went for it, no doubt, in qualifying and probably sucked it up n a win or bin strategy. And tbh a top 5 on an untested, brand new, restricted bike would have been a great result IMO. And he would have been there or thereabout I reckon, without the incident.

Effort should be made to sort the playing field out, when a non factory Apillia outdrags a factory BMW something needs to be looked at.

  14. I feel a Lance Armstrong type investigation coming on! PMSL

  15. Its not about cheating, its about applying rules to level the field. Ducati had weight and restrictors last year, restrictors this year, Aprilia seem not to be affected. Do the road bikes still differ in gear driven cams for example?

  16. The pani is obviously a bag of poo, a waste of space. It's no where near as good as an 888 in the real world. It's all just a thinly disguised marketing ploy getting it on pole, just to make pople buy them. How cynical of Ducati.

  17. Aprilia cheating pmsl

  18. Do you think Ducati are now feeling how the Japanese have for a number of years?

i.e. Ducati have an unfair advantage on weight, on capacity, on configuration etc etc etc

  19. 999 did ok against the 1000 4's

  20. Yep, but it was so pretty from behind!
