I guess I don't like the look of the PR3s either - but surely tyres are about feel??? They totally transform the bike - and not just in the wet. IMHO they improve just about every element of the MTS handling in the dry - road or track. The point about PR3s and wet weather is that they perform the same wet or dry, not just that they're good for the wet.
The trouble I see with all of the Sports Touring Tyres is they are pretty firm for mileage so both grip and ride comfort are compromised. What is considered to be the most sporting of the touring tyres? Im tempted to go with something like a Qualifier II or Sportsmart but the mileage could be an issue.
Put these on when I couldn't get hold of any PR3s and must say I have been impressed with grip in the wet and dry, think I might put them on again or maybe Sportsmarts
I had made up my mind to go for the road smart 2 but my supplier was out of stock so I opted for the Pr3s they are good on the multi the turn in is smooth and predictable. Not had them warm enough yet for any steep lean angles plus the roads are shitted up with salt and grit. They seem to have a high profile making it a really steep lean angle to get to the edge of the tyre. Can this be done on the multi without grounding anything out, weather and road surface permitting of course?
