To get my Ducati fix while trying to sort my old decrepid 600ss I’ve managed to bag myself a lovely yellow 748! After 3 years on a GSXR600 I was craving some Desmo loveliness so took the plunge and sold the Suzuki and went on the hunt. The head said get a 749 or stretch to an 848 but the heart said it had to be a 9*6 or 748. It’s a basic 2001 748E fitted with a single seat unit (with missmatching 90’s Ducati decals - but I don’t care!), came with all the original bits, a decent history and a grand total of 5200 miles on the clock. Shite time to buy a bike but have managed to get my first 100 miles in and am completely in love, the chassis is night and day compared to the Suzuki and the induction noise above 6krpm is pure magic. Plans are to find some carbon termis (once I’ve saved up), sort the wobbly dials and just enjoy the bike.
Nice looking bike, hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoy mine, I've had mine 9 years now and can't see me parting with it for a long time yet. Steve
Welcome to the forum. I’d watch out for the red or dead brigade but you’re in good company, my 748R is yellow Andy
Yellow nice, Wobble clock then will need these, Ducati Instrument, Speedo gauge Rubber Mounts 748 916 996 998 etc.
Nice choice and by far the best colour. Red is so common! I know I've said it before but it's true and I agree with @Exige
