British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

  3. Ah, there you are with your false news - here's a quote from your link:
It is not thought that the move would have any significant impact on jobs in Derby and Rolls-Royce says that the work could return to Sinfin once the UK's long-term relationship with the European Union is confirmed.

Now do you know how many jobs this involves, do you? How about 1 :joy:

  4. Not really but it does show the "cliff edge" and "impending doom" is mostly remainer bolloxs.

As to all links severed, on paper probably but the U.K. has always said our relationship has always been more than paper, as I feel many european governments have said also. Within a relatively short time, agreements will be made, new systems will be accepted and life for most people will go on.

What some trying to divide us continually forget, the eu is as intertwined to us as we are to them. I remember in the early days when it was mentioned "aww but we will lose so much information and intelligence co-operation" what most didn't understand was that most of that intelligence info to share in the pot, came from the U.K.

Then when this was pointed out, verhofstadt lost his shit and said the security of europeans is not a bargaining tool, the same verhofstadt that forgot, we payed a massive chunk and built a subtantial part of gallileo whilst he said, not being a member means we cannot let you see the inner workings of gallileo. On one hand he says security cannot be a pawn and in the other hand he has no problem with security being a pawn.

like a divorce when the cvnt lawyers are not involved, things will mend, things will get better and in time, it will be in the history books and rarely on the tele

  7. Perfect example of someone who doesnt understand the border issue and thinks it’s just about people and goods moving back and forward.

It’s much more than that. Go look it up. Am bored spoon feeding you things you should be aware of already.

  9. You should be afraid of your naivety.

I am surprised you are let out the house on your own

The Tories are all about “cutting red tape” and and flexible employment practices. It’s not a coincidence Cameron and Osborne both got £500k jobs a year with Black Rock and Goldman Sachs - the two largest investors in Uber.

It’s also not a coincidence that their relaxation of design standards in the building regulations led to the increased use of flammable materials and guess what, Grenfell happens.

    Tory Government
    Tory Council

Cut corners, ignore research and experts, allow designers and project managers more “freedom”. Rules are made to stop the ignorant making stupid decisions.

  10. I tend to stay in doors these days as I'm writing a thesis, It's called " how the snp rots your brain and turns you into someone so angry, no one around you likes you" I've found good research here and you will get an honourable mention

As all good governments should be. If we want more from them whilst paying no more then governments have to be creative. As to flexible employment, we have zero contracts, part time contracts, short term contracts, seasonal contracts, full time contracts, self employed and many more and have been used by people no matter what party was in power so what's your point?

I wonder if I mention these names, if you realise they all did rather well after politics too, some even tax dodgers. Blair, Campbell, Mandelson, Brown, Benn and those are just 5 to start with, I'm sure given my ability to dig, I could find many more, from most parties, inclding those closest to your own home :D

Forgive me but I was of the understanding that this refurbishment was approved for the exterior quoted but the contractor pulled a fast one and used cheaper products and is facing an enquiry which could lead to legal and criminal consequences.

It's also worth pointing out that your leap from borough council straight to government whilst ignoring the fullest responsibility for what goes on in London, goes under the authority of the London Mayor, Mr Khan, A labour mp. I'm sure your jump ignoring that was purely accidental
