Still the best looking bike Bologna ever made. Only thing I’d swap my S for is the R but that would just lead to divorce & I don’t have as much money as you guys with THREE R’s lying around. So that would be a bad thing overall.

Oh I’ve no problem with anyone spending their hard earned on whatever they like. Certainly didn’t mean to express disapproval. Just a tad envious in a fun way, of your magnificent collection. One question though-Why two Bayliss’s?
Its funny, but the 999 looked a different bike entirely as an R with the carbon exposed bits and what seems a deeper, richer red, and no bike has ever improved its looks so much with race paint scheme And many (including me) have changed opinion on how the bike looks generally over the year. I think it was such a shock, such a departure from the 9** Maybe a little like 1198 to panigale, which also brings looks criticism
Only thing I’ve ever struggled with as far as the Panigale goes, looks wise are, the headlights. Bike design like everything cutting edge needs to move on and sometimes they get it right, sometimes (cough 999 cough) not so much but I know what you mean bradders, the 999 has kind of grown on me too over the years so perhaps the droopy old man eyebrows of the Panigale will too. 1098, like the 916 was perfect out of the box though.
