my mate owns a kitchen company, i'll give him a ring if you let me know what you want. he'll be able to give you a good idea of the prices and advice on particular items.
Just bought a load for our new kitchen. Had a lot of Bosch-very good. Mainly now got Neff. Extremely good quality. Had some crap in the past though our old Creda cooker was top notch.
When I re-built my kitchen I got everything from www.appliancesonline.co.uk Great service/delivery/prices and aftersales, recommended.
Have a look at SMEG or GORENJE. I've fitted loads of them and never had any issues with them. I can give you some prices if you send me what your after.
what you need is propper cooker http://www.lacanche.co.uk/ Large Format Lacanche Ranges Now on Rangecookers.co.uk | New Products | Range Cooker News if not then Miele
Kitchens have a huge mark up, handy if you know someone in the trade that can get you a discount. After my House extension I was quoted £25k for the spec I wanted. I took that spec to Benchmarx with the added subject knowledge that I took from the over enthusiastic salesman and got like for like at a huge saving. All white goods included and the kitchen is top notch. The kitchen is usually a conversation point as it really is a work of art. Lets just say I could have purchased a 1098R and a holiday with what I saved compared to the initial quote.
My experience: In about 1991, I moved into a flat which, like the rest of the house, had just been done up. All the kitchens were new and had been equipped with Miele stuff. 12 years later, it was all still working perfectly, so when I bought my house and installed a new kitchen, I demanded more Miele stuff. 10 years later, the Miele fridge and dishwasher are still working perfectly. I ended up with a pricey Gaggenau oven, because it seemed to be about the only brand you could actually fit a turkey in. Most other brands seemed to stop at quails. I also ended up with a Gaggenau extractor fan. I think both are over-priced, though both have worked happily, except that I had to replace the buttons for the extractor as they were full of grease after a few years. Cost a fortune and the design is dodgy. The Electrolux induction hob was the only thing we kept from the old kitchen. Still works really well, so it's at least a decade old - perhaps quite a bit older.
fridge : Liebherr steamer/oven : gagenau cooker : gageau CX430 full induction dish washer : miele to avoid: miele : pressure steamer Miele large gascookers for maintenance - to much cleaning up to do
just been scanning through the various threads on the forum and can confirm that THIS is the most tedious of them all...bleedin kitchen appliances.. next it'll be home make overs, what not to wear and soft furnishings..
Go for a pyrolitic oven. When it needs cleaning, you just hit a button and all the crap gets burnt to ash.
