I would hope that when we have left the EU and start our own trade deals, we would be able to negotiate a bespoke tailor made deal with each individual country from around the world we choose, not as we have at the moment, a compromise deal that is negotiated by others on our behalf that has to satisfy 28 different countries with one deal.
For that fellow, brexit has been a godsend. If you look closely at jlr, almost all of their problems are bad decisions directly by him and the senior executives. Look at their chinese decisions alone and you'll understand whilst he's thankfull to blame anything other than themselves.
I know right, who would have thought majority democratic votes by the people would be taken note of before. Far better we stay in the eu and the unelected commisson run our life, democracy, pah
The constant, continuous Remainder references to "stronger negotiation position for trade deals if we Remain", the microscopic attention paid to issue of "will we be better off in the EU?", the myopic and slavish focus on the economic effect of Brexit ... combined with an utter failure of comprehension on the part of Remainders as to the more important aspects of Brexit ... gets tiresome, after the first three years. Whilst we are on the subject of unicorns and crystal balls, I mean. I feel sure though it start to become either persuasive, or entertaining, any day now.
Well that's just plain silly. We can stick our fingers up to the eu with Nige staying IN the eu parliament. The eu more than at any other time, IS becoming the federal states of europe with more and more governments seemingly having powers removed to be then centralised to the eu commission Enough Brits and many europeans themselves can see this. In europe they riot, in the U.K. we vote and the vote was we want to leave a project that is going off course and in a direction none of us want to go.
I don't know about the trade deals, part of me thinks out of the EU we can deal with all countries, are the EU effectively 'forcing' the UK to trade within the EU ? I've said before about the current government and the opposition parties - I think this has highlighted what many have thought for years, they never do what they promise. At the moment, to me, there is no party worth voting for. Maybe the Scottish are lucky having the SNP - at least they seem to be passionate about what they think is best for the country. 'Rabid leavers' maybe, but to be fair isn't it really practically impossible to predict what will happen IF we leave the EU ? The remainers to me are no better.
I quoted part of my post where I said the leavers resort to ridicule anecdotes and conspiracy theories, I then quoted you and Loz doing just that to prove my point. . undeniable
Blinkers engaged. Fingers in ears. Laser-guided on the target. Brilliant. Zealot misses the existence of the larger, more important target. Surprising! Breathtakingly effective denial - "All the things I say are real and they are problems, all the things you say are unicorns and are not problems, because that's what I believe." Never argue with a religious zealot, folks, them guys is crazy : o D
what are "we" gonna do about our ecconomy up here when "we" remove access to EU labour? apparently our hospitality trade alone is staffed by 40% with EU nationals.
A few years ago, the hospitality staff were all South African. Wait - did South Africa leave the EU? : o D Too easy.
Maybe I am being too simplistic but I would have thought that countries that trade with us will still want to do so. What is the 'favoured treatment' - do we get that as part of the EU, and if so who with ? Are you saying US, NZ and Australia want to change the way they trade with us because they don't like the current 'deal' ? (I'm guessing the current deal would favour us in that case). Would Corbyn and Abbot do better do you think ?
Shadow is referring to the high tariffs that the EU slap on imported goods in order to protect their failing protectionist economy. This benefits the UK due to reasons and unicorns (I believe he said that - not sure as he seems to be ranting a lot recently).
are south africans gonna be allowed to bypass the 30k threshhold? are they gonna come in their droves just to expieriance the uk's welcoming atmosphere? how will andy with the cap feel about this?
The 56% of trade outside the EU, probably a majority of that is under agreements made with the EU by the EU to suit 28 countries, not tailor made to our needs.
