A very mild 8 degrees today, but a 90 min drive on Tuesday gets snow on the mountains, cheers, have a good one
Some bloke on Facebook called Buster keeps sending me videos of the ‘70’s Glam Rock group Sweet. It’s starting to piss me off now. I’ve tried everything to stop this, but so far I’ve had no success. Does anyone know the way? There has to be a way...........to Block Buster!
Every orangery I have fitted has a glass roof/lantern, you are after a warmroof conservatory if its fully tiled , just sayin (insert smiley as they don't appear to be working)
They can look a little appendage like when fitted retrospectively, going from a new build it should look seem less.
Totally agree, @El Toro not sure at what stage your new build is at but I would consider getting the developers to put the footings in for your extension while the heavy plant is on site.
Unfortunately we are past that stage, as it was the first thing I asked. that said it will be done with the same stone and to the same design as their £1m houses in Wilmslow, so hopefully wont look like a tag on.
Christmas day here in Czech - going to the in-laws for Christmas dinner at tea time, then present opening after dinner. As Anna is used to Christmas mornings in the UK on the 25th we are doing that too with a few more pressies for her and Skyping her UK family
No. They drink drinkies in there with friends while talking about how they Walsh wanted an orangery. Lol
Up the shops at 0930 for some last minute stocking filler inspiration, wrapping done, now watching some classic sexist, racist comedy on the buses
Not up to much today, chillin and contemplating the finish date on my “orangery” as @final_edition will confirm it’s been a long time in the making, we apparently have a warm roof @simmytt i Do t understand the difference other than I don’t think the builder was expecting to fit one? Oh and 2 roof lanterns on a flat rubberised roof Overlooking Isla Mujeres Mexico
Its all quite confusing, a roof lantern is fitted to a flat roof, that may be on a extension or a orangery, a warm roof is a insulated vaulted ceiling mainly used to replace glass/polycarbonate conservatory roofs. Orangery's are the new conservatories. Roof lantern Roof lantern on a orangery Warm roof
Cycled to Waitrose to collect the turkey for tomorrow. For the 2nd year in a row, they didn't have the one we'd ordered, but we did at least get one. No fisticuffs over turkeys (unlike M&S yesterday according to one of the other turkey collecting customers in Waitrose). Actually cleaned Secundus (my newer 696) having had to ride it to work the last couple of weeks due to Primus (the 73,000 mile 696) having developed an annoying oil leak where the oil filter screws on to the bottom of the bike. Not the first time - there were rumours of a duff batch of oil filters a few years ago. Washed my bicycle and my other half's bicycle while he changed the oil and filter on Primus. I hate bike washing and garage jobs! After a nice hot bath, have now retreated to the sofa to drink mulled wine and watch mindless TV and try and finish my current embroidery project. Challenge for the evening is not to spill mulled wine on the nearly finished embroidery ...
