1200 Decat Exhaust

Discussion in 'Multistrada' started by Robot, Dec 22, 2018.

  1. Before I trawl through all the old posts on after market pipes, does anyone have experience or advice regarding the best decat system for my 2012 Multistrada 1200s. Looked briefly at QD ( nice twin cans) and SC project. Concerned about remaps and associated issues ( centre stand fitment and pannier compatibly). Thanks in advance.

  2. I run a Leo Vince decat pipe and end can plus baffle on my ‘12 1200s. I had a remap to ensure the correct fuelling and it’s been fine. Decat pipe is about 4 years old and end can is a recent acquisition because I was using the OE end can which was just too loud and I know it will fail the new MoT. Didn’t like the look, sound or quality of the MIVV and the QD and SC project weren’t an option when I fitted the decat pipe. Andy

  3. I fitted leo vince end can and de cat pipe, no baffle. I think it makes just the right amount of noise. it all fits well, no issues with centre stand and panniers. got rid of the exhaust valve servo and replaced with electronic box of tricks (cant remember the name) didn't remap didn't need it

  4. Leo Vince, fits perfectly, sounds great. Doesn't break the bank buying it compared to a Termi.
    Job done.:upyeah:

  5. Full Termignoni and ECU flashed.
    Top quality and addictive soundtrack
Expensive yes, but having had it for a while it’s paid for itself in smiles.

  8. Same here. Difficult to know what difference the Upmap does as they keep it secret. All I know is once fitted it is like a completely different bike to ride. Especially at the low end of rev range. It pulls a higher gear at 30-40-50. No hesistation from around 2000rpm upwards unlike standard being jerky under 3000. Also not sure if some of this is due to the exhaust valve being removed. But yes at over £1800 it is expensive over other alternatives. Shame there,s no one on here with full termi verses aftermarket comparison.

  9. I have the SC Projects can on my de catted multi, re mapped by CJS. Sounds great IMO.

  13. Found their website. € 640 for can ( with removable baffle) and link pipe. Seems reasonable.
