Published on June 12th, 2018 | by I Am Awake The EU-funded wall that nobody wants to talk about This is not Donald Trump’s desired border wall between the USA andMexico, nor is it Hungarian prime minister Viktor Orbán’s fence which stops the flow of migrants into Europe – this is a 764 kilometer wall between Turkey and Syria, funded by none other than theEuropean Union. Turkey shares an 822 kilometer border with Syria, a country which has suffered bombardment from all angles since 2011, including several EU member states. The wall runs through the provinces of Sanliurfa, Gaziantep, Kilis, Hatay, Mardin and Sirnak and incorporates physical, electronic and advanced technology layers. The physical layer includes modular concrete walls, patrol routes, manned and unmanned towers and passenger tracks. While the EU and its loyal followers persistently preach that any form of borders are racist, many will be shocked to learn that the construction of this wall was largely funded by the 28-member state union. According to DER SPIEGEL: “The EU states have provided the government in Ankara with security and surveillance technology valued at more than 80 million euros in exchange for the protection of its borders. This included the transfer of 35.6 million euros by Brussels to the Turkish company Otokar as part of its IPA regional development program for the construction of armored Cobra II military vehicles, which are now being used to patrol the border to Syria.” Additionally, in 2016, the EU pledged €3 billion to Turkey under the guise of humanitarian aid to the Syrian refugees in the country. In reality, this deal served to trap the existing 3.5million refugees in Turkey and left those hoping to flee their war torn country at even further risk. Once these resources are to be used in full, the EU will mobilise an additional €3 billion to the end of 2018, as confirmed by a press release of the European Commission. Next time an EU politician is giving an ethics lecture in regards to immigration and the Syrian conflict, keep this in mind

So far there are 277,000 signatories,which I understand makes it the highest number of participants in any petition since the opportunity was introduced. It follows what many brexiteers have been saying all along. The eu encouraged the divide of them versus us because that allowed the brexiteers to be undermined by allowing the constant barrage of xenophobe, little Englander, Racist etc etc They encouraged this divide to try and quieten many brexiteers who said, the eu is going in a direction that the U.K. is uncomfortable with and a direction that isn't one we want to be part of. This is why so many of us, in here also, have said, try looking at events in europe and the european projects own releases to see why things are changing and not in a great way. Trump builds a wall and it's booo he's a tyrant, the eu build a wall and it's "I want to stay in the eu so I can travel freely" Yes you can, if you are inside the gated community, inside the wall. Then pretend it isn't happening and say "what wall, I can't see one, if there is one it must be Trumps fault" If you wanted to look beyond "them and us" you would have always seen there is more to brexit than you think
dont get too excited, the Scotsman (remember the swastika) recently ran an online poll promoted by the SIU, asking about indi. it came back as 95% in favor of leaving the union. SIU, (Scotland in union) a grass roots campaigning group comprising of wealthy businessmen, some from overseas, land owners lords and such like, including our presiding officer (speaker). you will remember him as the one that held up our EU continuity bill by deeming it unlawful and dragging it through the courts for long enough so the HOL could change the laws around devolution retrospectively and contrary to what was voted for by us in 1998. taking back control?. sovereignty ?. the courts found it lawful. to lil to late.

Post 2772 So maybe it’s the Uk that has a problem with uncontrolled immigration? A wall between Syria and Europe is somewhat different to peaceful Mexico. At least that is how it looks.

all most likely leave with no deal ? i think the problem the remainers have is that no one can really predict what will happen when (if) we leave . Saying it's better to stay as we are and big business doesn't want us to leave doesn't work. For what it's worth I still don't think we will leave .
Business had it's say pre referendum and told the same tales of doom and gloom then, backed up by the gov't and establishment. It hasn't come to pass, but still they try the same tactic. The people listened to all of this in 2016 and voted to leave. It's not about what business (and I use that term to describe the CBI etc, who seem to say they represent the views of all business, which they don't) want. The gov't didn't ask business to vote in 2016, they asked the people, and the poeple voted to leave. To not carry out the outcome of this vote would change politics in this country and see the rise of more extreme parties at a cost to the Conservatives and Labour. Some in those parties recognise this, but I'm amazed at the vast number in the HoC who don't understand the consequences of what they are doing in trying to defy the referendum.
