British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I wonder if you are confusing the Germans pay the highest electricity bills in Europe as state-induced taxes and fees account for over 50 percent of power bills to fund renewables ? Playing catch up can be seen as "booming" if it suits your purpose also fin cannot it not?

  2. Thanks, noob.

I'd just gotten him down for a fecking nap.

  3. Loz, You might like this.

My wife was talking to her brother about Brexit. He's a Professor who recently retired from a London University. So lets call him an academic, for now.

He was proposing that there should be another referendum and that the choice should be (a) stay in the EU or (b) accept the current deal. He specifically wanted that people should NOT be given the choice to leave without a deal.

I didn't get to hear of this until after he had left, my wife feared my reaction to it.

So, so much for educated idiots advising what we should be doing.

  5. This is no surprise to me. I am reading and hearing a lot about academics and faculty members in universities at the moment. I'm watching videos and seeing reports from the universities themselves, this is not Daily Fail outrage-mongering, etc.

Do a deep dive of reputable sources on social media and non-MSM news sites. Look for source material, not the rumour mongers and axe-grinders. Find out about de-platforming, "safe spaces", etc.

Or, for the sake of your wife's family - don't. If you do, you will likely never look at your bro'-in-law in the same way afterwards.

  6. It does seem weird that places of education, seem to be openly dumbing down those that they teach.

Still if you can kid teens claimed to be our future and our intelligent future, out of £50k for a gender studies degree whilst telling them they will have a great future, then you'll try anything for a chuckle.

  7. Ha, Politics - the Art of the blindingly obvious.

  8. Agreed, done by blindingly stupid people.

Did you hear the one about the minister who gave a £14million ferry deal to aid post Brexit trade to a company that has no ships, £66 in the bank but "does have a credible plan"?

Mind you the bloke has form. He is the same one who thought Carillion was doing fine, days before it went into bankruptsy. Luckily the directors knew he was wrong & had time to pay themselves huge dividends precrash...

  12. I had a quick shufty at no platforn and safe space. You highliht a good point. This reinforces my opinion that the only voice being broadcast is that of remoaners and the tone of remoaners is that of "crashing out" or " off a cliff". There is no balance.

RAM YER BREXIT UP YER JACKSY.

  14. The back up plan for Brexit becomes more and more farcical.

This is obviously the "due diligence" that Chris Grayling was crowing about the Government having undertaken on Seaborne Freight, before giving a fledgling company a £14 million contract to run a cross-channel ferry contract.

Not only has the company not got any ferries, nor ever run a service before, but its Terms and Conditions, downloadable from its website, are copied and pasted from a food takeaway business.

I have never trusted this government before. I trust them even less now. You should too.

  15. As I've said before - you really couldn't make this stuff up :eyes:

  16. Ah, but you could make it up, couldn't you?

I mean, if you were trying to sell the idea that the UK Government is incapable of running the country and that cancelling Brexit is the only hope we have.

    Hmm.

  17. They couldn't even cancel Brexit properly IMO. Bunch of complete and utter clowns.

And not the type of clowns that scare people but the type that people properly piss themselves laughing at.
