Me too, with the same samples. But for 30m2, it came to about £1,100 with the VAT. I've ordered from Duramat instead and they'll hopefully be here by next week.
Duramat definitely looking cheaper, although don’t seem to have a dark graphite so it’s black or grey £362.88 inc VAT for the black cointop.
I got my Ecotile quote this week. £481.40 inc delivery. I think I would save about £100 using Duramat but I'm going for the Ecotile.
Ecotile certainly looks the more polished product. The Duramat looks like it has that marble/patchy effect but at £200 cheaper it is a garage floor and will get abused anyway.
Mine was about half the price at just over £600 with Duramat for a double garage. Ecotile was about £1,100 as they quote minus VAT. The Ecotile samples look good, time will tell if you get what you pay for.
I went with plasfloor a year ago .. no issues with stands or the bike ramp If one does get damaged I should be easy to pop in a replacement as they’re small http://plasfloor.co.uk/index.php/tile-calculator
Go for it me old china, you won't regret it. I have WarmUp (plug) electrical underfloor in all of my bathrooms and we put a WarmUp (plug, I am the regional distributor) water based system in the girlfriend's converted barn under Fermacell floor panels. It is literally the best money we ever spent (on renovation), so much so that I'm having it in my bike room too! Check out the website: warmup.co.uk
If the chape (slab) is not insulated a 6mm wediboard is tacked to it first to prevent heat loss. The matting then adheres to that.
I used 3mm checkerplate to begin with and it was a pain - the ridges were to much for the small casters it stands and my ABBA skylift. I replaced them with 3mm brushed aluminium. I’m going to have a go at trying to make a jig so I can use my router to put a 3mm x 400mm x 400mm rebate into an ecotile so the plate sits flush.
The smooth works well, provides grip without being obstructive for small casters. For a bit of constrast I got some Black to Edge the floor with.
Looking forward to seeing the end results once fitted as I'll be doing the same when I eventually get round to doing our garage...
