Going on the Friday... mainly to get drunk and sit one the new KTM adventure R... then call the wife and sound out her views on a deposit... maybe arrange some flowers to turn up at her work that day
I think she’d feel the same way if I went out and bought a new bike without mentioning it, as I would if she went out and got herself a new car. Joint life, joint finances, joint decisions. She’s actually very good as she always says I never spend money on myself.
I saw this up close at bike show live in november at the NEC. I think they’ve got a winner on their hands. It looks very manageable compared to the other much bigger enduro variants. Genius fuel tanks on each side to keep weight low. ( i read they’ve been thoroughly crash/ puncture tested). I could be seriously tempted.
Not been to a London bike show since the annual one was at the Olympia and not nec. Is it worth the trek?
Honestly, probably not but we just view it as a good way to start the bike season and a social, the show in isolation is quite average, but the day out is always a laugh.
I was unable to go to the NEC in November so will definitely be making the effort to get up there although not sure which day yet. Andy
Not the best bike show in the world, location lacks charecter etc, but you can getclothes,helmets,accessory bargains if you know what you are looking to buy eg 4 years ago my Schoei Neotec i got there for 325 , normal price was 450 plus, bargain,could not say NO, and i wasn't even looking for a helmet.
I will be there. Sitting on bikes while making brum..brum noises, pulling levers in and hanging off vertical bikes.
Only if you plan to meet up with folk you know and socialise, or buy some stuff. The show in itself is OK, but not that fantastic.
Oh come on LOOK at it...….. It looks like someone has designed it in the dark, with sunglasses on and their eyes firmly closed. I know beauty is in the eye of the beholder, but you must be having a laugh. A Mutli beats this absolutely hands-down to me and not just in the beauty stakes!! Just saying
