Perhaps I should have put a smiley face after that I do wonder why they wanted to be a politician and what their 'dreams' were when they started out ?
Agree. I've done the same and got a very "sitting on the fence" response. Everyone should write to their MP's so that they can start to understand the importance and strength of feeling. Some disruption is not too high a price to pay to exit without the EU's shackles and to be in a strong position to negotiate for our successful future (EU/USA/CPTPP). I love Europe and want us to remain strong trading partners and collaborate in everyone's interest. The EU leadership is all about the project and business as usual and not looking out for what is good for Europe's citizens.
I saw the smiley, even though you didn't put it there : o ) There are broadly two types of politician - the "public servant" sort and the "narcissistic personality disorder" type. Observational data suggest that, upon average, the Type 2 variety rise higher in the ranks than the Type 1's.
Personally I think the business as usual bit is key, more people think I don't want it to stay the same, it's worth the 'risk' than would rather things stayed as they are.
Indeed, the whole "Remain" premise is based upon smoke and mist. There is no status quo in which we could have "remained" in the EU - only the constant shifting-sand progression towards the dissolution of the UK and the rest of the EU member states as nations. A bit like if you push a Remainder off a cliff, and have him declare at intervals, "I wish to Remain!" whilst he steadfastly ignores the sudden stop at the end of his journey.
Calm down, finderman. The only cliff that Remainders are being pushed over is the cliff-edge of a WTO Brexit, which, as has already established, is not a cliff at all. : o )
it has not loz, stop making things up. anyway, can i not just sit here and have a wee giggle to myself while watching you guys twist and contort the realities into somthing you all can sell to your self? can i not remember what many where saying a few short years ago about what was impossible, but is now just a walk in the park being said by the v,same people? mate, you must admit, its a bit of a larf no?
