Indeed. I have heard a number of Leavers discussing this very thing. They seem to believe that "a principled stand" will somehow register with a group of people, parliamentarians, who would not know a principle if it ripped off their heads and shat down their necks.
Let's say we had a second vote and the figures remained the same but swapped who had them so remain was now 51.9% and leave was now 48.1 % What now? Okay I'll see if typing slowly helps Now, the key word here is "had", the question put to the more vocal remainers so the second vote has been had, the result numbers are the exact same but remain now has 51.9% and leave has 48.1% what now?
Lets say its not your thread!! First post...questions options! "Call it what you like the peoples vote or a second referendum or what ever The people campaigning for a second bite at the cherry think they can get a remain result However what happens if it results in a leave vote? Do we have a third referendum? Do parliament ignore the result? Or will the remain camp quietly admit defeat?" PS i did type slowly just for you..
ROI had 3 votes on the treaty, it happens and will happen. You will not be leaving the EU. I dont agree with it, but its a fact.
I have already explained this but I'll try again. There are two jobs going: both have prestige, privilege, the trappings of power and provide both an ego boost and social advantage. One, you must work your tail off and are responsible for results. Long hours and often, no thanks at all. The other, the hard work is outsourced, your responsibility is reduced or even Nil, and you simply get to bask in the glow of your counterfeit societal position. Given the choice - Which. One. Do. You. Vote. For?
The hint was "had" yes, here is a clue Let's say we had a second vote and the figures remained the same but swapped who had them so remain was now 51.9% and leave was now 48.1 % What now? Even after saying it several times, remainers again seek to confuse the question rather than see the honesty of the question, crazy rascals
I'll take that tenner. Under false pretences. Just like when the Government said they would honour the result of the referendum. And MPs were voted in on the same basis. So yeah. Where's my tenner?
I remember in the 90s, discussing religion with zealots in Usenet. You would ask them a killer question on logic and they would disappear like fecking dry ice at a Hawkwind concert.
I can now see why so many remainers had trouble with a leave or stay question, good grief. So are you going to answer the question put to remainers such as yourself, or continue to piss on your own shoes looking silly?
We can't have a second referendum it would be impossible to agree two questions from. Leave without a deal Leave with a deal Labour say they can get Leave with TM deal. Leave with another deal. Could ask the electorate what deal they want. Remain It's a puzzle TB
An answer in relation to the question asked would be a worthy start Beyond that you have offered little more. Now that you feel you have a grasp of the question asked, shall we try again? Let's say we had a second vote and the figures remained the same but swapped who had them so remain was now 51.9% and leave was now 48.1 % What now?
To make sure I have this right, in this scenario - We have had a second referendum ? The vote was remain 51.9% and leave 48.1% ? That’s easy - the vote for remain was higher, so we stay in the EU.
add the fact theres more clarity on what leaving means. top that up with there being no investigations pending on campaign overspends. jobs a good un. unless of course, we up here vote by an even larger margin to stay in the EU. HMM TICK TOCK.
