We both can agree that there is Parliamentay democracy in UK....I doubt you would get a majority vote on WTO terms. As we speak now we can clearly see they are unable to decide one way or another, complete failure. Therefore take the power away from them and give it back to people to decide..simple. Would you rather have JC & Co. gaining more seats or DUP in the position they are now?
"The budget should be balanced, the Treasury should be refilled, public debt should be reduced, the arrogance of officialdom should be tempered and controlled, and the assistance to foreign lands should be curtailed, lest Rome become bankrupt. People must again learn to work instead of living on public assistance." *Cicero , 55 BC (*allegedly:I wasn't there when he was supposed to have said it)

Perhaps they don't any more? I expect Amber to be judged on her record. Regardless of Brexit, she doesn't look like a safe bet.
The referendum resulted in 51.9% of voters being in favour of leaving the EU. but its not happening. so, i guess yer just gonna have to suck it up. tough at the top no? yeah baby. its friday.
98% of remainers now want to leave. And that sir, is as reliable as the constant barrage from remainers that claim a majority/substantial amount of brexiteers have changed
Of course you won’t. 80% of parliament want to remain! It’s like s farmer asking his turkeys which one wants to go first...
"Perhaps they don't anymore" is equivalent to "98% of remainers now want to leave"? Subelty & nuance are dead. Exageration and hyperbole are the future. At least in Essex. I doubt a "majority/ substancial amount" of any group has changed their minds. Its entirely possible that a small percentage have changed their position, they do so regularly as evidenced by elections.
See, I bet you are one of those that said brexiteers were too dumb to understand what they voted for and your opinion is subtlety and nuance is the right one and anyone who differs from you is projecting exagerattion and hyperbole? I agree with that, I simply disagree with your one sided often projections that it's just brexiteers that have
It's weird, I watched the diane abbot show last night,(question time) and I felt whilst she was a gift that keeps giving, I did feel she got most stick. On the drugs things https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/health-46843631 it seems to be, and I have experienced this, where a regular medication suddenly is challenged at the pharmacy by a new pharmacist saying, this one is far too expensive, did you know a cheaper one was available. The tie ins seem to be mostly about profit to the chemist, the drug company pushing prices up, a change by the company themselves but rarely down to brexit at all
I wrote the above on another thread a couple of days ago. This morning I came across an article that made me reflect on why I’ve changed my mind. I’ve come to the conclusion that the problems and divisions within the UK that Brexit has revealed are of much more consequence than Brexit itself. Above all else, that is what we need to focus on dealing with. You might not normally give The Guardian the time of day but personally I found this really thought provoking. https://www.theguardian.com/comment...tain-state-politics-fit-for-purpose?CMP=fb_gu
I read that this morning, and then noticed this piece which was written the day before https://www.theguardian.com/commentisfree/2019/jan/17/rupture-eu-brexit-reform People take what they want from either but both have very valid points
Its interesting. FPTP & Two party system is a mainly benificial to the two parties. I'd like to see PR.
i meant to say, while you where bomping yer gums about the bbc using house prices as a scare tactic down your way, they where telling us up here how boyant they are and brexit, meh, nothing to worry about. this is what they do. when are you guys gonna learn.?
