  1. Son has just replied - it's a 1969 Mustang with the V8 351hp engine - he hasn't mentioned the air intake

  3. Maybe some added a supercharger during its life? It’s a great car either way.

Although not a car, this was my personal favourite!...

(And fair play for thinking it was a good idea to get that to Brighton!)

  7. My mate has a Jensen. Sounds amazing, looks gorgeous (were hand built in Italy, then shipped back to West Bromwhich, home of the greatest football team in world )
Only issue he has is fuel consumption. £200 last about 2 days.

  8. Sorry, not 351hp but 351ci, which is 5.7l and will be a Windsor engine (Cleveland's were only fitted to '69s). Listed as 290hp for a '69 m-code, still healthy but remember US horses aren't like UK ones so it'd be more like 250hp here (the measuring system was different and most US cars lost 40-50 horsepower in '73 when they came more into line). Looks a really cool spec with the 4 speed and traction-loc (LSD). The hardtops haven't really taken off in the later cars yet but as the sports roof (as the later fastbacks were known) have gone mental in the last few years that should ripple through soon. Will be a fun car.

  10. That was the Jenson that belonged to Eric Morecambe which sold just over a year ago for nearly £100k. He had a heart attack behind the wheel of the car. I was working at the Auction that it went up for sale in at the NEC Classic.

  13. Your right He bought it new in 1968 for the pricely sum of £4500. I got to give it a light clean before it went up for sale as it had previously been detailed by a good friend and colleague that I work with from time to time.

  14. This is my "the one that got away"... 2002 Morgan +8. I spent a fortune on it, stroked out to 4.6, ported heads & induction kit, lightened flywheel, fast road cam, injectors, 6 piston front calipers and vented discs, adjustable shockers, Panhard rod, anti-trap bars, full gearbox rebuild the lot... then within 3 months of finishing all the work I had to sell it to move house! She's now in Switzerland!

  15. My uncle loved cars. Had loads, but my favourites were his Granada 2.8 Ghia X and MK4 Cortina 2.3S (V6).
That car was a rocket. Ex Police car, not sure who breathed on it but it certainly didn’t feel standard. So easy to wheel spin. Always fancied one myself but discovered BMW M3’s.

  16. That’s a beauty.
