Easter Forum Trip 19-24 Apr. Ardennes !!! ... The No Brexit Euro Easter Mini-break ;-)

  1. It will be a real mix, but you need to be able to do 100 miles on mway type trip
    Between stops really.

  2. GSlc. No problem until 120+

  3. In the past, we have never had a bike run out between stops (if they filled up!) even s4rs and 1098 lol

Ime of the people interested in going, mway will range from 70-100 mph here and there. Not warp speed 130 plus all the way.

When out riding, go own pace anyway. Someone will always wait :upyeah: or if someone wants to go quicker, we know the route roughly and they can wait on route!

  6. Yep that's the dates. I'll amend the thread title again :)

  7. Honda Melody for me, I’ll have the front basket mounted so if anyone needs to stow extra luggage I’ve got it covered :)
I may have @chizel on the back but we should be able to keep up

  8. I think you are referring to Nassau @bradders . It's well to the east of the Rhine.

    • Thanks Thanks x 1
  9. Default option for continental touring is Multistrada DVT for me. But if my 900 Hailwood Replica is working well at the time, might be tempted to take that. Might struggle to keep up.

  10. Yep, that’s the bridge ...

  11. Yep, defo the bridge.

Maybe we should start some kind of WhatsApp group, in case the forum implodes...Frexit strategy lol

  12. The Hailwood might also struggle with some of the off-road sections as well @Pete1950 ;-)

  15. I am thinking a hyper motard or strada. I wouldn't want to tour on one of my sportsbikes, most of which are in race trim so if anyone has anything up for grabs, please PM.

  16. I did last year Forum tour on the 899. This year I'm taking the Hypermotard, really looking forward it.
All the guys act year were great to ride with. We had a fab week away, by far the best week away I've had on 2 wheels :)

  18. OK people ... I've been exchanging PMs about the Ardennes with @MaDProFF and he says

I could fancy the Ardennes as a change - I've been to Cochem 3 times in the last four years.

What do you all say? Aye or nay?

The town of Bouillon looks really nice with a good selection of places to eat and drink (36 restaurants to choose from according to Trip Advisor)

    https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bouillon
    https://www.tripadvisor.co.uk/Resta...uxembourg_Province_The_Ardennes_Wallonia.html

On top of that the hotel actually isn't massively expensive - single rooms are sold out but they have plenty of twin rooms to share at £340 for five nights so that's £170 per person. If you want one to yourself it is £330. Breakfast is an extra £13 if you want it. Reservations can be made and cancelled with no penalty right up to 18th April.
