Peace Prosperity Protection from greedy multinationals trying to sell us shoddy unsafe goods Air quality Water quality Energy saving The list goes on and on
Just shows perfectly what an arrogant wanker Tusk is and that they are aiming to punish at all costs, even those of the remaining 27. Sooner this lot are out, the better
You’re welcome, but I’m a 100km from Cork. Look at the most south westerly tip of Ireland and you’ll find Schull, that’s me.
Then there have been the disadvantages to the UK, some being: - Uncontrolled immigration from Eastern EU countries causing salaries to be pushed down in already low paying jobs. No incentive to train British apprentices. - Cost of membership with high % going to subsidise inefficient farming (mainly French) - Protectionism causing us to purchase from EU countries that were protected by tariffs - Funding, grants, loans by the EU to enthusiastically move manufacturing from Western Europe to the poor EU counties, good for them, bad for us. - Disconnection with the decision making in Brussels/Strasbourg. Lack of real democracy. And this list could go on....
I thought we were supposed to be the sick man of Europe? The IMF are backpeddling on the growth predictions with the UK up, EU and particularly Germany down. The expert economic forecasts continue to be politically driven. New ONS figures show that the Government only overspent by £35.9 billion over the last nine months, £13.1 billion less compared to last year. Overspending is now at its lowest level since 2002… The ONS has also revealed that wages have risen faster than prices, increasing by 3.4%, with inflation at just 2.3%. There are 141,000 more people in work compared to the Summer, and 328,000 more than this time last year. All despite Brexit…
yip, the oil price rose quite considerably over the last year and unemplyment is at its lowest ever here. excess worekers driving wages down? aye, ok.
Just in case this hasn't already been posted.....No Deal petition. /petition.parliament.uk/petitions/229963
Just been on to sign this and it said I already had, I must be ahead of the game with a very poor memory. Steve
Can you please show the list in two columns: 1. "Things the EU has done out of the kindness of its heart" 2. "Things the EU has done that can more appropriately be referred to as a honey trap" Oh. One column should be sufficient, then. : o D
Would you like to refute each point, as they sum it up much better than me... https://threadreaderapp.com/thread/1087360379691380736.html Many thanks in advance.
Eu has free trade agreements with 60 other countries. Where there is a tariff it’s because agreement with the other country wasn’t possible
So you know better than Tim Martin (the pub landlord ) who employs 37,000 people in the UK in the food industry - very well done, lets listen to you eh? Most Excellent
