I don't have anything to switch, as my only pension is a final salary one and thats better where it is so I have to create a new pot, and being 50 this year I need to get on with to lol But its all about choice: I can stick 40k pa in a pension by the current rules. Its just knowing which scheme to go with, how to work through the real costs, what sacrifices I make in the coming 8 years to allow as close to max as poss and trade off the surplus needed in case I am not working for a few months
Look at Sanlam. No connections but in my experience they’re good. Re my ‘final salary’ scheme, several years back it would have paid out X% of my salary if I could have started drawing, now it’s only 1/2X%. Compared to the transfer value it seriously would take 50 years to burn through it assuming 0% growth. Personally, I’d rather take the cash and stick it in my SIPP. At least my dépendants get it if/when I snuff it.
Whaaaat? I’m with Royal London and last time I looked, all the gains for the year had been wiped out. Better look again methinks.
Just finished work for today, three hours fitting locks and handles, the silly customer has put furniture in front of the fire door so I,m not fitting that until the area is clear, it's very heavy. I like these short days. Now for a coffee, read the rubbish on hear and get ready for the Daily Politics on the tv at dinner time. Steve
Spent the day traveling to Jakarta for a meeting with a client tomorrow. Left home at 10 this morning, got to my hotel an hour and a half ago at 9 pm. Very wasteful...
Steve,Sorry but a 2003 supercharger version, but i did view two mk1's cooper S in norwich last week when i looked at a ducati for sale
Be had right and proper Sat in the hotel reception area having afternoon tea and I spy through the window a really tasty 916 monoposta parked on the pavement opposite and down a bit from the hotel. There I was waxing lyrical with the old anorak hood fully in position when Carole says ‘well go and have a look’. So I did and .......... it’s a Cagiva Mito 916 lookalike for 16 year olds. Doh Andy
Just enjoyed a 4 course ‘digestive’ menu in the hotel restaurant washed down with with 2 bottles of absolutely delicious Cava to be told by the Matre D that the hotel are picking up the tab because it’s my birthday. One very happy, if inebriated, chappy Andy
Today I have serviced my Offroad bike, 2007 Kawasaki KLX300R, full engine service, chassis check and adjust, replaced front wheel bearings and brake pads, tensioned and lubed chain, replaced bent clutch and brake levers, and adjusted gear lever angle, all in preparation for my 1st trail ride this coming w/end.
