I have spent the whole day since 09:00hrs setting up my new iMac and then transferring the contents of a five year old PC to the same. Just finished now. Blinding headache and a flat bum! Probably no more than 60 minutes away from the damn desk.
Park with the kids, washed car, played rugby (managed a full 80 mins, and won), been to nephew's 21st. now knackered and have to sort kids for rugby (no1), and athletics(no2) in the morning - I see a very tired auld git tomorrow night, too!
I am getting my Roller Derby stuff together ..... Tomorrow I am raising funds so got to go out in my gear ( not skates) and do stuff. I have been roped into waxing 20 something year old men's legs for them for charity !!!! They asked me ... I think they may regret it I've told them it hurts like !!! I need someone to hold them down !!!!
Well yesterday I went for a blast cos the weather was lovely and sunny, if a tad cold. Decided to head to Ducati Manchester just for a mooch and a chat/coffee. Going over the tops from Yorkshire to Manchester it was cold. There's still a lot of snow on the hills and parts of it looked like an alpine pass  Eventually got in to Cheshire and had a bit of a blast round Wilmslow before heading to Sale and DMC. Had a nice chat to Martin and Sergio along with a coffee and a mooch. Martin told me about the trip to Scotland in July, which I subsequently booked when I got home. It was good to see a steady flow of customers and potential customers coming into the shop. Made me feel as though the economy may be moving. Finally left after about an hour or so and decided to come home the long way round and eventually back over the tops via the Greenfield road. My god it was cold coming back. Again lots of snow and the temps dropped substantially at the highest point. My fingers felt like they were about to drop off. However when I got back into Holmfirth it warmed up to about 10C and all was right with the world I then cleaned the bike, not that it actually needed it, tightened up the visible bolts and put Eva away. Last night we went for dinner next door, which was lovely. Managed to stay sober cos I may fancy another blast out today when it warms up a bit. All in all it was a very pleasant day topped off with the fact the mighty Boro beat the championship leaders Cardiff city at home
Finally got the 748 out of the living room after taking nearly 4 weeks to give it a belt service, change fork oil,new fr wheel bearings etc, just couldn't get into it. Yesterday afternoon finally knuckled down and got it all back together and just got back from test run up to Royston for breakfast, all seems to be good so now it's onto the 998 for an oil service, new front pads and check adjust valve clearances ready to get it Mot'd and on the road for the start of April. Must make more of an effort this time.
For the second sunday on the trot I have been adjusting the neutral switch on the 748, what a job last weekend I had to take the back wheel off, huger off and the exhaust system off to get at it properly then yesterday it was playing up again so today I set about it again but this time I managed to bend a spanner to fit and struggled without removing anything, such fine tolerances involved to get it just right, hope in works for more than 10 miles this time. YES Mr R I know I should do away with it all together!! Steve
