  2. Put all new fuel lines on my S4R and replaced mini relays. Cleaned up a whole lot of stuff and then re-assembled. Made sure to wait until late at night before firing it up for neighbours benefit. Got to be good for at least another 200km now before I need to phone the wife for trailering duties again!

  4. You're married to an Irish girl aren't you? If so, and assuming she holds an Irish passport, you ought to qualify. Current rules are:
married to an Irish national, or
have/had at least one Irish grandparent or great-grandparent, or
have been resident in Ireland for 6 years.

    Check out http://www.inis.gov.ie/en/inis/pages/citizenship :upyeah:

Don't ask me how I know these things ;)

  5. At last.... managed to get the bas14rd  rear wheel nut off so I could remove the rear wheel for a tyre fitting. 3 days and what seemed like gallons of various penetrating fluids but got there in the end. The strip down has commenced :upyeah:

  7. Read through the revised contract of my new house and signed it and the land registry documents this evening. Have to answer a few minor questions for our purchasers solicitors tomorrow and get a document signed and sent off. So things seem to be trundling along. But as always it’s never there till it’s there!

Oh and I’ve come back on here.

  8. Received a lot of gold bits, the shop floor manager machined the 848 pivot for my 749,masterful work on the bridgeport, he said ducati did a shocking job with the component as it was very difficult to remove the bearings, and the spacer inside was badly scored by the bearings, he added a grease nipple too. Just waiting for some seals and a new internal spacer then I can fit the shock! And my dogge has been a good boy. Got everything sorted for collecting my new bike on Friday but the gritters have been out here tonight so I'll now be asking them nicely to deliver it to me instead :(

  13. Thought as much

  14. Had a call from Virgin Cable trying to upgrade me from my basic TV Internet Package - no additional charges for a year for the mid package with loads more channels. Told him no about 3 times before he listened - a once in a life time deal he said! To which I said no, if it is going to increase in a year to full price I will forget - not interested...
I then said I was thinking of leaving, he then offered the same better package for life for the same price - checked it had Eurosport 1 & 2 and it did, so he sold me a much better package for nothing - hope he's on commission

  17. The Healtech Quickshifter arrived today. I’ve wanted one for about a year and a half.
Don’t think I’ll be able to put it on till Easter. Then again, won’t be doing much riding till then anyway.

Really looking forward to getting that on the Monster and giving it a kick.

  20. Last few hours in Barcelona before we fly home :( Had a great few days and definitely the way to enjoy a special birthday. Taxi driver's strike finished at 06:00 this morning so we can catch the Aerobus locally instead of getting the Metro to the middle of nowhere and then bus. Andy
