British Indy: What Happens Now?

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I don’t think we have the American one for much longer. Apart from anything else, it’s falling out the sky.

Medicines are approved for use at European level. They are based in a big office block at Canary Wharf, but it’s now moving to Europe.

  2. The backstop was negotiated by the UK and the EU as a means of sticking to the GFA while leaving the EU.
It is not an EU invention

  3. Entirely agreed.

When it is in the interests of all parties to move quickly to achieve beneficial deals, all parties will move quickly.

In part, because the UK buys them.

Business will do what it always does - it will adapt to new circumstances in an effort to retain or restore profitability. I have long argued this point during the course of these Brexit discussions, this should not be news to anyone!

Porsche buyers, and car buyers in general, will adapt to new circumstances in much the same way as businesses will.

Are you arguing that the loss of in-car satnav is a reason to cancel Brexit?

Thank you for your input, which will be factored into the many, many issues to be thought about and discussed in relation to Brexit. Business issues are one important part of the process, although as you are aware, not the principle one.

  4. On the gps, we were one of the largest contributors to gallileo and 25% of the project was built by brits , if the eu want it to work at all they need us

On the medicines, it makes sense they move but they only authorise in europe, we won't be in europe so they would not be our authorising body

This is not the case, this is the eu saying stay under our control even though you have left or we will instruct ireland to enforce a hard border, directly against the gfa. even the thickos in labour can see this is a trap and will never pass

There seems to be this i need to be breast fed by the eu, by the eu that seems to think the eu is the only place in the world that does stuff and unless we stay with it then ukplc will be shut. Pure sillynes, of 195 countries in the world, after we leave, only 27 countries will be in the eu

  5. Didn't realise you were present during the he negotiations.

  6. I was for a while by tusk threw me out whilst saying I knew too much. It's what happens when you look beyond what they want you to see and look at the stuff they don't want you to see. I am quite correct however :D

  7. German car companies don’t exist to make cars. They exist to make profit

VW don’t care if you buy a VW. They will be just as happy if you buy a SEAT or a SKODA. They probably make the same profit on the cheaper cars as the VW or Audi, bacuse they are made in Spain and Czech Republic with inferior plastics, seats etc and using components manufactured from tooling which has long since been paid for.

  8. This is so funny

When we leave the EU we are out of Galileo even though we have spent a fortune on it.

    Yeah. 190 countries

Only 35 have developed economies like ours. 27 are in the EU.Others like Japan and and Canada have trade deals with the EU.

How many Jaguars and MRI scanners will we be selling to Africa. A continent whose GDP is half that of France.

    Economic insanity

  9. Who said that, pesky browser security

  10. You don't know a lot about this industry do you :)

  11. Company directors have a legal obligation to
Make profit and return dividends to shareholders, not make cars or whatever it is they do. Business is about profit.

    Ducati started out making Radios

  12. The economic section is quite reliable as it goes but largely shows most of the growth in the eu has been a cheat. They have done so by quantitive easing that finished in December last year having cost europe 2.6 trillion euro's and now the quantitive easing has finished, most of the european power houses are showing their true economies and this is why many economists claim Germany in particular, is on the verge of a recession

If your browser can see your own posts shadow, then it has no idea what innacurate and unreliable is and shoulditself, be deemed as innaccurate and uneliable :D

  13. The big one this year will be Deutsche Bank. If it falls, it wont matter if we are in or out of the EU.

Apparently we should be putting out money into gold and silver

  14. Perhaps if you spelled 'Daily' instead of 'Daiy', your browser might be more reliable.....

......but I think it is more likely a case of a Remainer frightened to confront the truth.

  15. Agree on Deutcshe bank, it has so much Italian debt on it's books with little or no chance of ever seeing that money again that it will be one of the big hitters that takes a tumble.

Leaving the eu again agreed , it won't protect most countries but being prudent enough to see what the eu was upto so we stayed out of the euro, will offer us a level of protection no euro country will have. Should it go tits up, I can see some smaller eu countries wanting to revert back to their original currency as they will have hardly anything left to lose by doing so

  16. We are not leaving tho. We have no control over our laws or how we operate. That’s clear, if you take the GFA line. As it preclude us from eve leaving. And, it precludes all others too. As most are landlocked in some way with other member states and therefore won’t be able to do anything without a hard Border everywhere.

The Empire is now Eu. Not Europe: Eu.

And I’m amazed intelligent people like you Derek can’t see that.

  17. Yes, that's true :)

  18. Statute Law as passed by Parliament says we are leaving on 29 March.

    We are leaving.

The only thing which will stop it is if that legislation is revoked and the EU agree to an extension of article 50.

  19. There is so much debt about, bundled up in opaque packages, which has been sold on and on and on, you have to wonder if some banks own the same debt more than once?
