Superlight on ebay

  1. Mmmm - looks nice doesn't it

  2. Very tidy that.

  3. That is in very nice condition, as Imola says it is likely to go for god money, but on Ebay you can never tell!!

  4. I'll take a guess at what it goes for.................£3250

  5. If it had the original exhausts or Termi's then higher but i'd like to think £3250 was about right..but as you say, you can never tell. There was a yellow one on ebay at £3800 and not a sniff.

  6. I cant believe a 750ss fetched £2300 just the other day on ebay.

  7. Prices went all crazy lately. There is a 1996 916 Senna for sale at 19800GBP WTF?!

A 916 SPS for 9k. Most stock older 916 models seem to be on sale for over 5k and prices are higher then stock 996.

Honestly where are those people living. For over 5k you could get a tidy 999 easy.

  8. Bordi era dukes are the last of the classics never mass produced and Look so different to jap bikes.
    Give me a 888 or a 916 early 996 any day over a 999 1098 etc.

  9. I know a bloke that put his up for sale a couple of years ago and he's looking for in excess of 4k - I've offered him 3K cash (too much) and he's having none of it - It is a low mileage (11K) honest bike but condition wise it's nothing on the one advertised on ebay. I've tried telling him it's the MK1's (white frames) that are the ones to have but he's having none of that either!!

As an aside - all the MKV's I've ever seen all have the same 'ONV' Registration prefixes on a P plate with closely successive numbers - Must have been imported into one importer, was it moto cinelli back then? or someone else?

  10. I am sorry which jap bike looked like 999 it should also be stupid priced being different.

Still those prices of 916 are a joke in most cases. A category D repaired is priced at 4.5k honestly? 916 was mass produced in a way. It was not limited to couple of hundred only.

  11. Oh yes the 999 that crippled ducati.
    Mass produced abortion!
    Lukaz.
You will never ever convince a bordi era duke owner to like anything terribleblanche ever designed.

  12. Same 999 that won loads of Wsbk races/titles. I know I will not convince you but stop inflating prices :)

  13. If you're not in the market to buy, the prices can be as high as they like.

Personally, I wouldnt spend over 3k on any bike built pre 2000 whatever it was. But then I buy a bike to ride, abuse, and enjoy not to preen, look at and generally polish.

    And as often told, I a, a philistine ;-)

What is funny, is those that covert these things, see the prices have increased a tad and try and cash in...in my mind true philistines!

  14. Not me inflating prices.. Supply and demand mate.
900ss carbys have now become more expensive than a ie.. ?
    Bradders
Maybe class B DD racing needs to move on from old bikes.. Oh bordi bikes you know the ones that get polished...:)

  15. Agree...reckon 696 would be a bit more capable too. But then the bottom would fall out f old Ducatis! Lol

  16. A supermono? (from a Galluzzi/Bordi owner..oh and a terblanche too but let's not go there..)

  17. I'll ask you what your 848 is worth in a few years time

    re DD

The price of SS goodies will plummet in price.

  18. Same as every other mass produced commodity which is bought to be used not just polished ;-) lol

That to me represents VFM :upyeah:

  19. Bradders has it spot on. They are all built to be used. That is why as much as I would love to have MH900e carbon, 998r or desmo I would ruin them using them in all weather.
