?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. I must say whilst I'm throughly sick of Brexit, it hasn't half conjured up some catchy slogans, some of which will be found available in an 'Ath-Leisure' collection via my soon to be launched ecom site www.t-shite.com

    'No Deal No Meal'

It's sure to be a number one seller :upyeah:

  2. Yep, Tesco. Those renegades.

Morrisons too. I think it's a conspiracy to derail efforts to Remain in the EU and overturn the wishes of 16M voters plus a bunch of non-voters who clearly signaled their desire to Remain in the EU by not voting in the Referendum.

  3. Morning :D

749er let me see if I can get you to take off those blue flagg with yellow stars tinted glasses for a moment.

The good friday agreement is mostly about the people of Ireland, both sides.

eu membership since maastericht is about a political project where trade is an essential tool to keep the project and the project only going, people are way down the list.

Tusk last night mentioned several times that he thought letting the people vote on europe was stupid, Macron said last year that if the French were given that same democratic opportunity, the French would probably vote to leave the eu too, so people and democracy are way down the scale for the eu, the project is all that matters.

Now for the republic of ireland, the U.K. government consider the people important and point blank refuse to put up any hard borders between the two countries as promised in the gfa

For the eu project, the eu project and it's commercial need is more important than the people so it will instruct the republic to have a hard border unless the eu gets it's own way

The eu work incredibly hard to allow the people the perception of democratic freedom whilst at the same time not allowing the freedom to vote on the eu itself and it is that if anything, will see a hard border upon instruction from the eu that will see a hard border

  4. I hear Lidl and Aldi are offering cumquats to anyone who says they voted remain and two cumquats if they can get a second bite at the apple, if you get my drift

  7. Those were the latest detailed figures published: https://www2.gov.scot/Topics/Statistics/Browse/Economy/Exports/ESSPublication
The next figures are published 30th Jan so let's see how EU trade has turned around then.
The 2016 details showed the USA was still your biggest export country and the fact that the EU was just 17% of your exports so quite a transformation that you have seen in the recent quarterly report. I wonder what export product group has made such a difference? Maybe the Dutch have got a taste for that Whisky but be careful, they do make their own.

So the conclusion from your seat is that Scotland would rather be in the EU as an independent state (albeit ruled by Brussels) and in the event of a positive "Leave the UK" referendum, would rejoin the EU and adopt the Euro (that would be one of their conditions). I believe your economy would be in a much worse place that staying in the UK, even under WTO rules.

All I would say is that I hope that wouldn't happen but if it did; do you guarantee that it will stop the Scots blaming the English in the future and instead you can blame the EU? If so, then go for it!
Nicola doesn't seem to have too much confidence though having heard her on the Marr show.

  11. I did, but as I said they were just one QTR and didn't give much detail. You get a much better picture of the annual trade figures and I was relying on the Scottish Gov figures which are of good detail but rather late. Will the 30th Jan figures be for 2017? I suspect so, tell them to speed things along Finm.

  12. Well it's going well up to now, next is the trade negotiations, that should keep this thread going a bit longer. Its great being retired, :innocent: I have time to catch up and try and make sense  of all this informative information.

  13. hmm. i;m reading september 18 and december 18. where it quite clearly points to faster growth in exports for us, a trade deficit of 130 bill for england with a surplice of 3bill for us.

  14. Retired?

So why do you still have a van, hmm?

  15. So £127B deficit for us.

So not quite as bad as I thought. Could do better though.

    Roll on Brexit!
