British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. So it’s not something to fret about??

  2. Wtf - where did I say that? Why does every word in this Brexit debate need to be countered with the polar opposite?

I think the whole thing is a stupid idea and we should remain. I'm also a realist and that isn't an available option.

  3. I don’t think they want a sensible solution, but a reason to remain.

  4. I don’t know about stupid idea. The main people strongly against it seem to be politicians and big businesses, I do think that should tell me something - but I don’t know what ?

  7. Horrible! Seems to demonstrate that Poland's policing of standards and regulations isn't working and the EU's systems are not there to verify compliance. All too often these abuses only get uncovered by whistle blowers. I wonder how many other countries have poor standards?
A good reason to buy home grown meat. I live opposite a farm that keeps cattle and sheep to the highest standards and it's worth paying extra for quality locally reared meat from the local butchers. We also won't buy Danish bacon where the poor pigs are raised in high density factories. Enough to make you turn veggie!

On the vegetable side, I saw an interesting video showing lots of Tesco fresh vegetables with none shown coming from EU countries though they didn't show Lettuce or Tomatoes. Have a look at the vegetable country of origin, in your fridge.

  8. About sums it up. For Germany, which the eu is constructed for, it is controlling europe this time not through armies but politics( their governments have an obsession about it).

For true europhiles like verhofstadt the swivel eyed loon and his cohorts, he does see no other way forward than europe can save the world and within time for he and his type, people will forget their nationalities, their history and their country as their new country will be called the e.u.. A national army, a national banking structure and a central decison making body that will eventually replace all eu countries governments.

A start of this comes highlighted in this article with inter international voting
    Vote for any European
The remaining 46 seats will remain empty, but can be used in future for MEPs from new member states.

MEPs on Tuesday also laid the groundwork for pan-European lists, which would allow EU citizens to vote for politicians from other EU countries.

Currently, a French citizen can only vote for a candidate on a French list, and a Greek citizen for someone on a Greek list.

The idea for transnational lists has been around for years, but recently gained momentum again following the support by French president Emmanuel Macron, who rallied the leaders of southern EU countries behind him.

The other direction is for those like Junker who are the old school. To see Junker in europe think Sepp Blatter in fifa,
Corrupt and constantly serving multinationals. Removing borders to aid multinationals and allow the 26 richest people to own more that the 50% of the poorest of the planet, this can only happen with men like Junker in key positions

  9. Now the EU is the root cause of world poverty and a prime enabler of the richest 26. Nothing to do with Russians, Chinese or Americans, nor Brits occasional Indian or Japanese. Its Junker! Couldn't be any French involvement since they control probably 40% of African countries wealth? The Saudis, Quatar & UAE? Nah Junker.

Well I guess a bit of Brexit will sort that all out.

I wonder if he caused climate change too...

  11. Selective narratives will always see your posts fail jezz, I can't help you with that, you see what you want to but can be best summed up as, grumpy old bugger who hates trump and brexit :D

Not true, you only have to read the threads in here. Brexiteers are not alone in this as remainers have said the same thing on occasion as the planet is not restricted to just trump and brexit as you two believe :D

Global warming is a fix by those who see massive profits available , I cite Al Gore as a good example

Some people, believe in climate change, of those, quite a few see climate change as the planets natural ageing in all it's various stages. The only impact humans have on this is the speed the changes happen

some believe humans caused climate change whilst ignoring planetary changes when there was hardly any humans.

Earth is around 4.5 billion years old, humans have been around for about 100,000 years so you have to ask how did the planet change, split, create etc etc for the 4.4 billion years humans did not exist?

Now you two, can I suggest in the morning, you change your breakfast from grumpy pants gruel and try some less depressive, you'll feel a lot better for it.:upyeah:

  12. Well you frequently my posts even thought they are mostly based upon verifiable facts or research conducted by professionals.

It’s February 2019, and there is no question that we are leaving the EU. I don’t see the point in expecting anything else. Doesn’t mean to say I think it’s a great idea.

I hope you are right and I am wrong

  13. I know that remainers should not call leavers an idiot over Brexit and that’s absolutely correct. No one can product the future.

Over climate change I can absolutely call you an idiot.

  17. Can you make your mind up?

One minute it’s “the EU will punish us” then it’s the above.

Then it’s the “Eu is protectionist”, the then it’s the above.

You continuously put forward solutions you later say will not happen. Can you make your mind up?

We will not be getting a free trade agreement under any circumstances because the EU is like every organisation—-protectionist
