Had my last day on the slopes yesterday. Later this afternoon we’re going back to Geneva airport for our flight to LBA. I won’t be home till midnight and Monday will be the start of my packing before we move out and into my friends house for a fortnight (hopefully) on Wednesday.
Did a Hare Scramble today, 3 x 22km loops, fairly knackered now as riding 2 days in a row is quite hard for a fatty like me, was in this area...…
Went to the classic motorcycle racing today at Pukekohe raceway. Was some very exotic machinery racing there incl a Brough Superior, and a demo from the Brittens. Plus we had a flyby from a Kittyhawk and then a Spitfire. Sorry, I didn't take any photos but grabbed a video screenshot...
My aunt and uncle used to live in Pukekohe. Been a good few years since I last saw them. Still got family on the North Island although lost touch now. Andy
Just been for a lovely walk along the river , very cold and a bit slippery as er indoors found out , wallop flat on her arse. But very enjoyable non the less !!!
Home made bead breaker based on an idea of @Birdie 's with the help of @Nelson 's idea of putting the tyre warmers on for a bit 1st. I didn't use this as to tight to buy the right tool, it's just the ones I've seen look a pain to store.
Cool! Haven't been to this event for about 25 years or more... Back then it was a classic bike show as well (perhaps still is?) And allegedly one of the biggest in the world.. few thousand classics on display and the same or more in the parking.. The sound of the velocettes in the racing was a stand out for me.. they sounded fantastic
Washed two cars, put the trickle charger on my Rover SD1, took both Monsters out of the garage, they both started first push of the button, put them back in the garage. Went for a nice walk down the river, now back in the house with a hot chocolate watching Tin Star 2.
Picked up and taken out for coffee by my friend in his new BMW Personal plate reads HRH he is a queen
Mine cost nothing, it takes no space as it folds against the wall and I have pleasure in making my own, I am a pensioner. Steve
