Had a small off today. Crashbars done their job and saved the panels etc. Took em off and the bar that goes through the engine is slightly bent. Bang on in the middle of the bar. Should it be straight before I lay into it with a hammer??? (I'll get it properly done in work tomorrow. ) Bike is a 13 Multistrada 1200s GT. Thanks
Fair play to sharing, shit happens! It's why I have a winter hack for the worst part of the winter season. I expect to come off riding around at 2/3am in minus degree weather with a small hill on route.
Glad all your kit did its job. A bit of a nuisance but not too bad. If no one else was involved will you tell your insurers? In the UK it's not worth it as they load you up on your premium for the next 5 years or more.
Glad you're not hurt and that you got off fairly lightly on the damage front. Always sad to hear though.
I'm not annoyed or beat up I just want to know if the bar through the engine bracing the crash bars is straight by design or slightly bent like mine are!!!@ Thanks for all the concern tho
Bummer. Check your lockstops and your exhaust (if it’s got the cat) fixings for the exhaust shield if it’s gone down on that side. Also make sure nothing is bent around the front fixings.
