Monster S4 Rs Inbound From Spain

Discussion in 'Monster' started by Dirty Leeds, Jan 18, 2019.

  1. as above, s4 rs, needs uk clocks if it is indeed staying in the uk, Iva, not sure of service record, I am bringing this bike to the uk from Spain around the 8th February I should be back, can be dropped off anywhere, the owner is English living in Spain and requested I bring it back get it ready for sale and sell, I will post in the for sale section when I get more information, initially need some help/ advice or even offers of interest if someone wants it, as it is or after all works done , so clocks or even a stick on mph? Does anybody want to help sort this bike? Obviously for payment to be arranged with customer.

    Ta

  2. I’m interested as it is.
Obviously as you say, need info on current mileage, no of owners, service history. I’m in Leeds.
    Cheers.

  3. Cool so am I, the owner is calling me today, he is in meetings so do not know when, I have asked all the questions so hopefully get some answers, ultimately it’s down to price though we all know that.

I’ll let you know when I do.

    Ta

  4. ok, the bike has come from Qatar, has been in uk currently has uk mot, bike is in Spain now, I am bringing it back to Leeds around the 8th February

    18,600 + km
    2 owners
7/10 to 8/10 by the looks of it
    3 keys
    All books bar service book
    Standard Rs
One scratch on the left hand fork leg around an inch long deep enough to through the gold coating

Am assured it has been serviced regularly but no evidence so will need refresh
Bike has up until recently been used regularly in Spain, wife forces reluctant sale.

This is not a for sale thread that will be done today however interest has been shown by itsamonstor I will pm and first refusal will be yours, after that it’s a case of someone helping get this uk legal and sell or sell as is, this is going to be a very reasonably priced bike

  15. I test road one of the first S4RSs back in the day. It was the first and currently only Monster I’ve ridden. I was riding an ST4S at the time and was totally unprepared for the amount of torque so low down in the rev range and found it hugely difficult to keep the front wheel on the tarmac. I hated it so much, I cut my test ride short as I didn’t feel in control. Move forward what 15 or 16 years and I now realise the Monster thing is unique and wish I’d given myself time to master it. Absolute hooligan of a bike and probably of its time, one of the quickest bikes point to point there. Andy
