Makes it easier to change/adjust at the trackside, but will be a pain in the arse in traffic, but that's not the concern of the purpose of the bike
That was my thought to the real reason for it. But how do you phrase it in a way as to not undermine all of the bikes you sell, with loads of advertising blurb about racing heritage which have a wet clutch. Maybe phrase it in advertising nonsense speak.

No. I think they mean banging down from 6th to 2nd then turning in with a settled bike. The STM is very a very mechanical design and action as opposed to electronic. PS I’m a bit wankered now so it’s highly possible I’m talking shite. Again
Are we saying the bike is 35k plus 6k for a non standard exhaust? Or does the bike come with a non standard exhaust as standard, so to speak?

So, 40k in total? Does anyone know when delivery times are actually going to be? After waiting 9 months for the Speciale and eventually giving up, I’d be cautious of repeating the same mistake again.
. When I checked a few weeks ago, no orders for delivery as yet. All the orders were still open according to my dealer. So 9 months only feels like yesterday. Some I know off have had a deposit down For over 2 years.

I was given the impression that all 2018 orders would be delivered from the end of March/ April or at some point in 2019. Unless you've ordered 1, your only chance would be if you'd buy either a cancelled order/ a 2nd hand one, I'd be very surprised should you order it now if you saw it much before Q1/2 2020. Ducati were only making a limited number of V4R's, not sure on the exact no's but I think i read on the Interweb that about 500 units or less worldwide per year????. However I think you really should be asking your question to a dealer who has access to the Ducati ordering portal.
2.4.8.13 Clutch a. Aftermarket or modified clutches are permitted (including plates/springs etc). b. Back torque limiter is permitted. c. No power source (i.e. hydraulic or electric) can be used for clutch operation, if not installed in the homologated model for road use. Human power is excluded from the ban. d. Clutch system (wet or dry type), type (multiplate) and method of operation (cable/hydraulic) must remain as homologated. e. Clutch basket may be changed. If the clutch basket has the primary gear integrated then the primary gear must retain the original number of teeth and tooth form.
Oh aye. And the rest. Especially if you want it prepped for track. I can’t figure why Ducati don’t release a track only prepared weapon. Like BMW and Aprilia have done.
