got out on my 450 yam and did some green laning, god i ache and realise how unfit i am bike wise after a 4 month layoff from off road riding, still grining though , love it
What have I done today? Broke a tooth.......it exploded into 3 bits, leaving on a tiny piece above the gum......that's going to be fun to get out.... ......and then got attacked by a stoat that one of my cats brought back........Talk about aggressive.....you wouldn't believe the stance it took and the noise it made.......fortunately it went and hid under some roof tiles so I could get the cat (and me) away from it. AL
How did you know it wasn't a weasel? Because a weasel is weasily recognised and a stoat is stoatally different.
I know, I know.......besides a stoat is larger than a weasel............and I doubt a weasel would have gone for me........the stoat went for my boots..... .......I was out of there before it ran up my leg. My wife said why didn't I put some gloves on and pick it up to get it away from the cat............Yeah right. AL
Just had my first ride on the ST this year, only 50 miles but it was so good to get out again! Hope your tooth isn't too painful Al, and you really must teach your cat not to play with its food!
Went to the Doctor's for the annual MOT, results back from blood etc, blew a 4.2 on the cholesterol so all good on that front. A little high on the glucose ratio - watching brief. Apparently I now have a one per cent chance of a heart attack and/or stroke. Not bad for someone who smoked twenty a day for more years (30) than I care to remember. If you've ever thought about packing up the fags, go for it, piece of cake, honestly. Quit for three years now and would recommend it in every respect.
Took the fuglystrada for it's MOT, sailed through with no advisories, then the clutch packed up on the way home, cost me a ton to get the bike home (doubly annoying cos I've got a bike trailer, but no towbar now). Seriously, make me an offer on the bike.
tried to sort out leaking coolant on son's KTM kids expect you to mend things via txt now ffs handing him back to his dad and MADASL
Managed to get a ride out on the SF in the sunshine.Met a mate at the Ducati dealers and took a look at some new bikes.Nothing new,but a guy rode in on a Vyrus.Interesting to look at the hub steering,I'd never seen one for real before.Lots of carbon on it.There is one for sale on ebay at the moment, not cheap. Lots of Multistradas in for servicing, must be owners getting ready for the touring season. Now resting up-I've had to much excitement for one day.
Took a trip to Chichester on my (rather long) lunch break. So nice to be riding without winter gloves on again! Just a taster before it rains again later this week. View attachment 12277 View attachment 12278
Oh and I know the heat shield is missing.....replacement on order! Also Im not sure if these are teething problems or quirks..... - The neutral light is very hit and miss. It's out of gear but if you put the stand down it'll cut out. - Pretty strong whiff of petrol when its just been switched off - Clucking when using front brake....its more than a floating disk and Ive checked the head is tight and caliper bolts etc are tight I'll raise these at first service anyway but has anyone had similar issues? Ali
Clutch is working again now Oh and thaks to the two berks who pulled up (Diavel and ZX7R) and totally ignored me while I was waiting for a lift...
