British Indy: What Happens Now?

Discussion in 'Wasteland' started by Loz, May 23, 2015.

?
  1. Full Brexit with "no EU deal" on the 29th March.

  2. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a general election and new negotiations.

  3. Request Extension to article 50 to allow cross party talks and a new deal to be put to EU.

  4. Request Extension to article 50 to allow a second referendum on 1. Remain in EU or 2. Full Brexit.

  5. Table a motion in parliament to Remain in EU WITHOUT a referendum.

  6. I don't know or I don't care anymore

Results are only viewable after voting.
  1. The Scottish Ukip, (snp) isn't fooling anyone anymore other than the brainwashed. Scots understand seeing how brexit has unfolded, that Scots need a bigger reason to face the shite that will come in line with leaving other than , anyone but the tories in westminster.

Honestly speaking, I can't see there being a second referendum for at least 5 years because I feel most Scots are going to sit tight, see how brexit works first and only if it fails will the real Scots think again about indi.

The worry for the snp is, most forecasters agree after the 2-3 years of setting things up so we do all the stuff the eu used to do and then get back on our feet, most project a far better time ahead

  2. Agree, mays deal is still the chequers deal from last July. She would have been far better saying it won't work, they won't budge, we are going wto/free trade. Business would prefer different but would have appreciated at least enough time to prepare

  3. really? spoke with real passion? representative of public mood? hmm, what was the chances of him getting selected for the audience, again?. what was the chance of him getting to speak. again? Billy Mitchel of ukip and OrangeOrder flutist received 34 votes last time he stood as a candidate.
so yip, i bet you did enjoy it. where you slavering with pleasure as he backed up yer own ignorance of the situation and mood in Scotland?

  5. Don't worry Finm, the SNP will go away and lick their wounds and maybe realise that they need to come up with a substantive and realistic plan before pushing for another vote. I realise that we don't see the picture down here in the south east as you would if living in Scotland but I really love the place and don't want you to either break away, or do harm to the Scottish economy.

  6. of course you dont understand it, you have spent the last few years thinking and arguing we are all EU bots. the exact opposite of the truth.
yer ignorance never fails to astound me. tho, i dont actually believe yer that ignorant, i think after watching your posts over the last few years, yer softish prejudice, discrimination, and antagonism based on the belief that you are in someway superior. (possibly hiding an inner insecurity) you just like the prospect and rhetoric of right wing tory Govs.

  10. Nobody can, because there isn’t one.
It’s all pie in the sky, cloud cuckoo land.

  11. : o D

"Lifting the lid off the box, Loz could not believe what - or who - it was he had caught this time ..."

  12. Theoretically possible I suppose but highly undesirable, as is any period of trading under WTO rules alone.

  13. Unfortunately, or fortunately depending on views of the EU prior to the referendum, all this farcical show is proving is that it really never should have become political.

Had the EU arrangements remained based on trade, then businesses would have remained level headed and done what's best for them, in fact it wouldn't have gotten to this point at all.

Should we take the clean break option I can only hope that trade negotiations will be undertook by those of relevance.

None of the political bunch currently involved, but selected business leaders from various markets across the EU / UK and panels setup.

They're who should agree any future trade as they have 'skin in the game' as my ceo says

Whatever the outcome from this, the polical class from across Europe have all lost a level of credibility, none more so than the old boys running the club

  14. If you knew Emanuelle and caught something from her box, you would be shit out of luck if you were in Singapore and hoping for some NHS style care!

  16. People have said a lot of things...

'The day after we vote to leave, we hold all the cards and we can choose the path we want.’
    - Michael Gove, April 2016

'The free trade agreement that we will have to do with the European Union should be one of the easiest in human history.’
    - Liam Fox, July 2017

Within 2 years, before negotiation with the EU is likely to be complete, & therefore before anything material has changed, we can negotiate a free trade area massively larger than the EU. The new trade agreements will come into force at point of exit.’
    - David Davis, July 2016

‘There will be a free trade agreement that allows all our businesses to trade freely to and from continental Europe... It will take a relatively short period of time.’
    - Chris Grayling in February 2016

'There are good grounds for a new government team to offer the public a voice on what the deal looks like. And we obviously wouldn’t oppose that... I think there’s a strong democratic case for it.'
    - Dominic Cummings, Vote Leave campaign director, Jan 2016

  17. Wearing that jacket she could always go work for the SNP :)

  18. I do enjoy watching Farage speak in Brussels, like him or loave him, you can't dispute his expertise on the EU issues. here he really makes Varadkar squirm. I think it should be enough motivation for Juncker, Barnier, etc to want the UK out, to shut him up.
